Re: 8P6044

Try looking out doors, the picture will look that awsome remember that the differance between 480i and 1080i horizotal resolution is 600i lines. more lines better picture. the differance between interlacing and progressive scaning is also a factor. dvd players now have progresive (480p) output but you must set the player to output this to your tv and can only be YPbPr or RGB or HDMI to produce this type picture. S vid or composite vid can never produce this type picture. 480p equates to 960i so it is line doubled. just as 720p equates to 1440i even better than 1080i.

Will a Google Chromecast work with a 43FDX15B Hitachi HDTV Monitor?

All you need is a free HDMI port. The Chromecast comes with a USB power adapter to plug into the wall, or if you have a free USB port on your TV you can use it. It works great, but there is a bit of a learning curve to understand how to connect it. I use my Windows 8.1 tablet and my Windows 7 notebook.

No digital channels

This TV is not able to understand digital channels because its tuner is not able to find that band, it works only in analog channels. To be able to get HD channels is needed a decoder box that has digital tuner build in. for a tv to understand HD Channels with analog tuner is to us to try to speak at the same time different languages.

No analog stations on my hdtv 37 inch, have no digal box just regular cable, regular cable works on normal tv

Try an antenna if you want to get analog over the air. I have a feeling that with the way the standards are changing, you will only be able to get digital channels. After February, the analog channels won't be around.

If you are using cable tv you need an HDTV box to get high def.

HI i have a 42" Hitachi HDTV 1080p (LCD)

Most newer Digital TV's don't display Analog signal very well. Often worse then an Analog TV. This is normal to a degree. If your Wii has component  cables, try using that. As for cable, you might get a better signal with Digital Cable.
