Only stupids buy cordless phone from Singapore. India uses ETSI DTMF standard for Caller ID which is not supported by any cordless phone sold in Singapore. It is about time you trash your worthless instrument in the dumpster.

I have just bought a Phillips AJ3225 Clock radio in a sales bin - but there is no manual -wondering how I could get hold of one? Have tried a google search for a PDF version ot it - but no luck. Can anyone...

http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/a/aj3225_00/aj3225_00_dfu_eng.pdf
or
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/a/aj3225_05/aj3225_05_dfu_eng.pdf

these manuals are from the philips website. When you search the site for US answers it doesn't pop any up. I went to the UK site and it has your alarm clock on there. you should look on the clock and see if it references AJ3225/00 or AJ3225/05 and use the appropriate manual.

Enjoy!

RCA RP5435B SN.1A006J255A0594-Clock running slow

Most of the Radio clocks by RCA are meant to be used with 60Hz AC line. This problem will not go away unles you can get a custom built 60 Hz AC power supply, may prove to be too expensive for the clock.

Time lag.

Unfortunately, this is an innate problem with this device. Philips has a newer lineup of AJL models that operate on an atomic clock - real-time.

IMPORTANT! To adjust the clock and alarm times accurately, always make sure
you press the up-up or down buttons separately and not simultaneously.

This problem is cause by the difference in the power delivery system in the USA(60HZ) and India (50HZ). The timing function for these type of Clock/Radios depends on the power delivery system. It works like a second hand in a clock or watch. With the (60HZ) you get the perfect match with the 60 seconds to a minute time intervals. In India this timing sequence is thrown off due to the power being only (50HZ). I will give you the information to contact the Emerson customer support web page and the customer support telephone number. They may have a way to make adjustment internally to compensate for the differences. The web page for customer support is[http://www.emersonradio.com/support.htm] The telephone number is 1-800-909-1240. You can call them between the hours of 8am and 4:30 pm Central Time USA. Go to the web site or Give them a call they might be able to help you. I hope this information helps you understand the problem you are having with the power differences and the timing of the Clock/Radio. Thank you for using Fix Ya and have a nice day!

The problem is most likely the frequency of the A/C power there. In the US our power runs at 60 cycles p/second and the alarm clock uses this to set the time. Sounds like India is running 50 cycles like Europe does. Most likely there is a jumper in the clock because the Ckt board on mine shows a 50/60 hertz setting but with out the board schematics I wouldn't have a clue how to fix it. Sorry not to help more...
