This fault is none of the answers you ahve been given. It is a motherboard problem which can be cured by replacing it.

E-machine wont boot up. It has power, feels like

Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the onboard)

If you hear any beeps these can indictate where the fault is.
either of these sites below will help you further with that

Beep codes Pc

More beep codes

Power up the pc and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.

If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.

If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.

Now connect one drive only and boot again.

Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.

Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem

If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it

I have a xps 730x and it wont power up

Always eliminate the most obvious possibilities first.
Make sure it's plugged in to a working outlet in the wall.
Make sure that the switch on the back of the power supply is set to 110 and not 220.
If neither of those things fix the problem, we're going to need a bit more information about what else you've tried to do to fix the problem to troubleshoot further.

Power up problem

Hi, you most probably have a sticky on/off switch on your case. Turn the power off. Remove the side cover, trace your wires from the front switch to the mobo, identify witch is the power switch [this is usualy marked with PWR or PWS on the board and also on the wire from the switch. Disconnect this wire then turn on the power and use a fine screwdriver to bridge the two pins on the board, if all works properly then replace the switch Regards mistyman
