THe "One Touch" devices are usually USB/Firewire...
As such it should connect up to the Mac USB OK.. then, it should show up as a "Drive" where one could then, with the right software be able to transfer files to & fro without too much trouble.

Work through I-tunes. I-tunes will allow you compile playlists and export them. Be sure your naxa is connected via USB cable and the mac recognizes it. If you can access the naxa, you can transfer files,
Try unplugging both the power and data cables from both the computer and the hard drive. Let the hard drive spin down. Plug the cables back in. It should become visible with no loss of files.
I had a similar issue with my Maxtor Basics portable 500GB drive. I hadn't formatted mine yet, but had heard there were issues, so decided to find out before I start. I even saw your post here looking for an answer. Finally, one of my friends told me the following solution, which worked fine for me:
Don't format the drive as any of the Mac OS Extended options, simply reformat it as MS-DOS (it should be one of the options in Disk Utilities when you choose Erase and go to the Volume Format dropdown list).
Your Mac should be able to recognise and use the drive in this format and it works for PCs. Transferring files between the two shouldn't be a problem.
A thing to note, though, is that these Maxtor drives apparently come ready-formatted as MS-DOS (mine did). But while my Mac recognised the drive, I couldn't copy files on to it. If this happens, erase this MS-DOS formatting with... MS-DOS. Don't ask me why this works, I'm not a Mac Genius, but now my Maxtor is trouble-free and can transfer files from PC to Mac and back again.
When you connect your phone to the mac via the USB does the phone appear on your desktop?
If the phone does mount on the desktop the easiest way to get them on and manage them is with iphoto (or ilife if installed) use the app to import the files. When importing find the phone and look for the images folder.
The manual way.
The mac should pick up most phones and see them as a hard drive. If it
does mount on the desk top you can then open the drive and find the
images. They are usually in the picture or image folder.
If you cannot see the drive on your desktop and you have bluetooth on
your mac. you could transfer the images via bluetooth. Slower but they
will get there. You'll just have to pair the devices.
As 'git1' said. If all that fails you'll need to let us know what make the phone is.
After following the on-line instructions I replaced the USB cable that came with the Maxtor with a difrent one and now the drive works as it should. I do not know what the problem is with the original USB cable.
Thanks for the follow-up

you have to this with your mac operating system cause sometimes may happens that in another formated data dont got in mac system , so try 1's more time in your mac system & having funn,
Use the Windows Explorer and highlight all the files to move and select (right-click) cut. highlight the drive to get files and select (right-click) paste.
U can create new folder prior to paste and then paste files to this folder. Use the file on menu to create new folder.
well..it's possibly the case that the maxtor is looking for mp3 files that are compressed using a different algorithm than what you are sending to it. can you open an mp3 file, and look at the properties, then compare that to your mp3 file specs for your maxtor
Yes, formatting included erasing the drive and renewing the partition. If you want the drive legible on pc, but will be working in both environments, then you can do 1 of 2 things....
easiest, purchase MACDRIVE, it will allow a pc computer to see and use Mac items on the drive.
You could also transfer the content to another drive temporarily, format the drive in question to MS-DOS, then transfer all that content back over...using a MAC to do so.....
