Dishlex 302 WB not heating water, found dry solder joint on 12v relay repaired
worked for two more weeks, now same fault.
Relay OK and works, heating element OK, no more dry joints found.
Could it be water flow/level control.?? (Boy a circuit would be good)
Now thinking of wiring in test points to check as it goes

I have had the same problem with no heat and I found three dry solder joints on the 12v relay and it fixed the problem. Will update if the problem continues.

Same problem for mine, i first found one of the plugs not pushed on properly to the circuit board on the control module. I pushed this back on and it worked really well for about 3 weeks. Now the problem has come back so today i have pulled the circuit board out of the control unit and found 2 cracked solder joints to what looks like a relay? Have now soldered them and will report back if it works. Nice to be able read about others with the same annoying problems.

I am trying to replace the heating element on the Bosch SHU53 dishwasher. I do not have a repair manual so it is not clear how to get to the old heater. I noticed the blog comments on the circuit board and loose solder points. How do I get to the circuit board?

Found I had no hot water in my Dishlex DX302 and did a google search and found this page.

My problem was found to be the same as the others; one of the solder joints on the relay on the control board had arced off.
You could see the burn mark on the board and cover where it had been arcing.

Soldered it back together, and now it seems to be going good again.
Now my only problem is a damaged door seal, which means a small water leak; I have used part of a rubber glove to bridge the gap, and it reduces the water leak.

Dx 302 wont dry dishes

The model you specified is unknown to me and I'll try to explain how drying works generally in the dishwasher.
Dishes absorbs heat and cools more slowly than a very thin wall of stainless steel.
The consequence is that water evaporates and in accordance with the Mollier diagram begins to condense on the walls of the stainless steel whose temperature is lower due to faster cooling of the dishes.
Now drying can be divided into two categories. Active and passive.
Passive way of drying the natural circulation of moist air and condensation in the condenser, which is usually located on the left or right side of the dishwasher.
Active way of drying works on the principle of forced circulation humid air with fun helping quickly condenses and thus speeds up the drying of dishes.
In passive mode the drying process can speed up the partial opening of the door.

Most dishes in any dishwasher are still wet when cycle is finished. The heat built up in the dishes during the washing cycle is what causes the water to evaporate when the machine stops.
If you want to accelerate the evaporation, simply open the door very slightly so that as the hot air escapes it causes the dishes to dry quicker.

Dishes still wet upon end of cycle

Check if the heater is working. This can be done by checking if the dishwasher has steam and dishes are warm when cycle is complete. Also check if the Rinse aid has not finished. Make sure the Rinse aid dosage is not at too low.

Dishlex dx 403 does not dry dishes - fan dry on red led

Ther have been a lot of complaints about the drying performance of these machines. One solution suggested by Electrolux is to use the "anti bacterial" wash mode, as this is a higher temperature wash, therefore dishes dry better. If you are using Eco wash or Quick wash, drying performance is not very good- Electrolux recommend leaving door ajar at end of cycle to improve drying. Also, ensure your Rinse Aid compartment is topped up, as Rinse Aid greatly improves drying performance.
-Please note: these dishwashers will not dry plastics and other items that do not hold the heat very well!!
-Also, you should be able to hear the drying fan running at the end of cycle- if not, then you may have faulty fan (uncommon), or control board (more common).
Good luck!!
