Immediately return it to place of purchase, it is defective and it is still under warranty! it is very rarely that there is something wrong with them, even broken blade is easy removed, but you described just something wrong from manufacturer side.

Hi, Well to be honest, I don't know either, not a typical failure mode. This model is equipped with several electronic features that could be at fault, which would require tearing it apart to troubleshoot. These saws do have a 5 year warranty and I think I would use it if possible. If you are unsure of the warranty period call in the serial number. 1800sawdust.
