Hello, I am the third owner of my 2000 996 and I never got the radio passcode from the previous owner. I never needed it before until I replaced the battery. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you. Becker CDR 212, Serial Number Y5034197, Type 4462, CDP 2081

You will need to call a dealer for the radio pass code. They should be able to look it up.

Honda civic gli radio replacement won't work

Dannielle, if the previous owner installed the radio, it must have worked. It is possible that error code may have no connection with the replaced radio which may work when connected to battery. It depends on the complexity of the new radio. If it is simple, s/b ok.

97 S90 Volvo with original radio per Previous owner. Radio worked before Battery replaced. Called dealer and Got code, put it in and got rpt message. Several attempts- still no Working radio! HELP...

ok rpt stands for repeat. when it says that it is the wrong code that you are putting in. you only get three trys on this. after the third time it will say off. you must wait 2 hrs with the stereo on until you can try putting a code in. you need to find the right code for that stereo.inside your manual book there should be a credit card size card that has a four digit code on it. that is your stereo code. put that in and your stereo should be up in running. good luck

Radio code resetting

There is a four digit code for the radio, the previous owner will know it. Press two bottons at the same time and the display reads "0000". use the first four keys on the radio, that is "1", "2", "3","4" for each of the zeros and enter the code by pressing until the right number is displayed. Then press the same two bottons to enter this code and the radio comes out of safe mode..

Radio says off , i was asked to enter a code after my car wouldnt start. how can i fix this?

You will need to go to the dealer with a VIN number and proof of ownership to get the radio code. This is a theft deterrent built into alot of cars now. Either that or get an aftermarket radio installed.

I have a 1990 nissan pintara and when i turn the radio on its say code required, does anyone have an idea??????

If you have the original owners manual that previous owner has written the code in you will not need to replace radio otherwise you will need to replace it.Some times the code can be written on the outer case of the radio but not usualy.Vehicle is too old for that code to have been retained by manufacturer/dealership.Without that four digit code therse very little you can do but replace.

Gm 32 pin

then you have a problem with the wires that were probably cut during that install from the previous owner, and you need to undo them and reconnect them again, cause they aren't staying connected. I am almost sure he cut something to cause this when all that needed to be done was to use a wiring connector made for his car to adapt to the new radio when it was replaced.
