Hi, Do a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a couple of hours. Most current models will reset to default condition this way. If this does not correct the fault, pls post back with the brand/model/version of your unit. Good luck and kind regards.

    Hi again,

On your various inputs/signal/video sources, pls post back likewise with what you intend to connect to the TV (DVD, cable box, HD, gaming machines, etc).

Copy just a DVD. Presumably the set-up menu got messed up. Try the hard reset, normally this should restore everything to default factory settings. As posted initially, most current models will hard reset if left unplug to the mains for a couple of hours. Thereafter it's just like hooking it up again for the first time and presumable everything should be back as they were before.

    Cheers.

Do i need internet for my HDTV smart tv

The smart tv provides several features and some of these will require access to internet if you are directly streaming movies and youtube. But there are some features like media player and DNLA wireless connectivity with other compatible devices like smart phones and DVD players that operate without internet. For this you will need a wi-fi or wired Lan connection from TV to your router.

Why won't my TV connect to my woreless network?

You need to check whether there were changes made in the Wi-Fi setting of your TV including the password, method of protection, SSID etc. matching to your Wi-Fi router settings.

Check all the connections at the back in case they are loose. Make sure that all the devices connected to the set are working properly - sometimes they need to be restarted. My Mom's satellite tuner does that sometimes and it messes with the TV.

I have a Bauhn 42" HD TV. Kids use AV connection for both DVD and WI. Problem is they constantly change over the three AV leads and now the connection in the TV is loose. Can get picture but no sound. Any...

Are there another set of the three AV leads in the rear of the TV? If so, go to your local electronics store, buy a set of RCA extension cables to go from the rear of the TV to the front and let the kids use the cables to change back and forth between consoles.

Setting up mintek 100 dvd player to cable box to tv

Newer TVs have multiple inputs. Mr Mark is correct, you generally do not daisy-chain Audio/Video units unless you are using a recording device. Cable box to Cable input on TV. DVD player to other inputs.

Let's get some terminology out of the way. Specifically for the Mintek DVD-1600. There are NO inputs.

Coaxial Audio out (orange) is for digital audio only. Usually connects to stereo reciever for Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Not for TV.

S-Video (black w/4 small holes, 1 square) is for better quality video than composite. Use this to TV instead of Composite if you have a S-Video input on your TV.

Composite (Yellow) Older video input type. Works just fine. Connect to TV.

Audio Output ( Red & White) for analog stereo only. Goes to TV. Red=right, White=left channels.

Component Video Out (Blue, Green White) is the newest video output type in this unit. Better than S-Video. Use this option if available on your TV instead of S-Video or component.

DVD's play in black and white

anytime you connect componet signal (green red and blue)to regular video inputs (yellow) end will have same effect. make sure that if you are using component signal from dvd player you have to connected to component input in the set.
component signal will use green red and blue for video and red and white for sound.

Hd tv to vcr

What model and manufacturer DVD/VCR combo are you using. if it has a HDMI port, you should buy a HDMI cable to your combo player than to your HDTV (most don't have this High Definition port.) 6f3606c.jpg
otherwise, it probably contains a composite port, connect the red to the red (Left) white to white (mono) and yellow to yellow (Video) than connect the wires to the matching port on your HDTV) then switch the input to AV or Composite. 9701d83.jpgb5e3eb0.jpg

If this fails, you need a coaxial cable.85dec5e.jpgconnect a coaxial cable to your player then to the coaxial port on your tv. change the input to "either Coaxial, Cable 3 or any input that sets it to coaxial input.

Doing some searching I came across this, I hope it helps.

From instruction booklet

Power on the control device or VCR and put the tape in.

Press on the SET key continuously, then press the device key you want to set.For example, TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.

Then the LED is on, release the key you press.

Press the SET key again and release it,then you will go into QUICK SEARCH MODE and the LED will flash all the time.

Press the POWER key once at the device,URC22B will send another POWER signal of the next code.(If VCR/AUX, you will press the POWER or PLAY key). Observe if the device works(POWER OFF or PLAY),if it works, go to next step , otherwise repeat the step

whenever you want to leave SEARCH MODE,please press the device key,(TV1/2,or VCR1/2,or SAT/CBL or AUX.)
then the LED is off.

Then check other keys like [CH+/-],[VOL+/-] if they can be controlled. If cant be controlled,go back to the step

I believe that what you are watching are the responses of the portable DVD player on screen menu. How about just trying to get the tv to work for now, then try the DVD again?...accordianman
