Toshiba Gbeat F10 "files not found" Napster says to reformat

I have had this player for about 2 years. It has never given me a day of trouble but today it just locked up. I see the player scrolling through the songs, not stopping and will not play anything. It says file not found. I can turn it off and on and that's it. I use Napster to go and have many, many playlists that I don't want to lose if possible but if it's easier to reformat like Napster says I need to know how to do it. I have everything saved on Napster anyway and can re load the player once it is back working again. Please help! Karen- Carolina Girl

Re: Toshiba Gbeat F10 "files not found" Napster says to...

I had this problem on mine as well. The problem was that the liscenses on the music was expired. I had to remove the music and then reload it and have had no problems since. Good luck.

Delete songs

Your SanDisk Sansa Player does not allow you to delete files from within the player (But the recorded files can be deleted at the player). Instead I recommend that you follow these steps :

When your player is connected to your computer with the USB connector, you can use your computer file browser software to view all files on your player. Your player will appear as Sansa m240. Follow these steps:

1. Use the USB connector cable provided with your player to connect the USB port on the top of your player to an open USB port on your computer. The player will appear as a Windows Portable Device on your computer.

2. Delete your music files to the player with software tools like Rhapsody, Windows Media Player or Napster Client.

3. To use the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client software to delete files to your player please refer to the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client help file.

NOTE: While you can store and organize your audio files on your player using folders with names you select, your player will ignore folders and names. Instead, your Sansa player will extract information from each audio file so that you can use the software menu to navigate your files by artist, album title, song title, and other useful criteria.

hope it helps.
Have a nice day!

Can't download music from Napster to YH-920

Move all the files to the windows media player. So the songs are listed in the media player. Then connect the device and use the sync option in the media player. There may also be a sync option in napster but I think the windows media player would work better.

Transferring Music from Napster w/o WMP

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.
