Need wiring schematic for dacor esc130sbk over ser.# vbo391606

While replacing the circuit board, the wires came out of the red plug on the right side, facing the oven. The wires come in from the side of the plug and are pressed down into a metal piece made in the plug . Need the proper placement of these wires.

Tip

Dacor Oven Won't Preheat

My Dacor oven ECS227 would not preheat. Most website advice was the High Temp Cutout needed to be reset. That was not my problem. I found a schematic for the oven and determined the relay that controls the power to both the Broil and Bake elements was not conducting. I could hear the relay operate but the voltage for the two elements was not on the output side of the relay. I ordered a new Relay Board (92029) for $200 and after replacing the board the oven worked except it started smoking from the panel area and the smell was that of an electrical overheat. Further investigation revealed one of the slip-on connections on top of the relay was sparking and generating heat in the range of 150 degrees (measured with a IR temperature meter). It was melting the plastic around the connection which was the source of the smoke and the smell. I removed the wire, compressed the connection points a little, reconnected the wire and all is well. The plastic around the connection became very brittle from the heat and broke off while I was working on the wire connection but it still works. I found you can purchase the relay itself for about $5, so I did that just in case this should happen in the future. I will repair my old board and have it ready to go for a future replacement if needed and will also replace the connection clip at that time. The relay can be ordered from Mouser Electronic - their part number 655-T9AP1D22-18-01. The relay is stamped T9AP1D22-18 Potter Brumfield. Hope this helps anyone else when the resetting of the High Temp Cutout does not solve your problem.

The replacement temp sensor could be defective.

F4 code Dacor oven

F4 means there is an open circuit in the Oven Temperature Sensor. Could be a bad sensor that needs replacing, cound be an issue with the wiring harness.

A test would be to short the sensor wire together at the sensor. the error code should change to F3. then you would know it is the sensor and not the harness.

Dacor Oven F4 error message

Hi. I recommend Checking the sensor wiring harness and harness connection between the oven sensor and oven control. Replace the oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

Frigidaire self cleaning stove mod FEF369cgsb ser vf94422321 was originally wired direct and it shows 4 wires. Now I want to use a plug and outlet, 3 prong. How do you connect the 3 prong plug? thank you...

Vivian
the original wiring probably had a red, white, black, and green wire. It is 240 volts. The red is hot, carrying one leg of 120 volts. The black is also hot, carrying 120 volts. The white is neutral, and the green is the ground.

I am against altering this, but you can wire the red and black each to a hot leg, and wire the white and green to the bottom ground. This then introduces a ground wire to your neutral bar in the circuit panel, which is not the best way to do it, but will work.

Best to get an electrician to wire a 4 wire cable to a four prong outlet, and then use a four wire pigtail with a 4 pronged plug.

Lots of people modify it, they ground the green wire to the stove, where the wire originates, and to the box with the outlet in it where it hooks onto the plug if it is metal. Then you have a part ground. And that is assuming you have a cable with wires sticking out to wire to a plug.

Boils down to your decision. If the above isn't the case, get a four pronged outlet and wire the red and black to the top two prongs, the white to the neutral, and the green to the metal box it sits in.

Dacor error codes

HI. the F-1 code is a System Watchdog Circuit failure code.

Press "Cancel", if beeping continues after 30 seconds, replace the main control board (also called clock or ERC).

Concerning the F-5 code. This is an oven temp sensor failure code. have it replaced asap. ((Check the wiring leading to and from the control and sensor for cracks and fouled structure. if the wiring is bad, replace the harness as well)),
