Sound doesn't turn on after a few minutes!

Hi guys Having a problem with sound on my pc. When i start up my pc there is a few minutes where if i start a program (game/movie/browser) the sound will run perfectly until i turn it off. But then if i try opening it up again after the first few minutes there is no sound. :P Its very annoying as whenever i want to hear sound on a game or video i have to restart my pc and open it up right after windows loads. Or else im doomed to silence!! This is the case with both my speaker sets and my headphones. I also replaced the sound card a while ago and still no difference. Im loosing my mind!! xD

Hey you must be using win xp home edition sp2 - had similiar probs!
either do all the automatic updates available from microsoft.com

or install win2000, if it is an older model u use this might do, but ensure you got the right drivers for all your components and made a backup of all your personal data.

Hi I have A Marshall JCM 2000 TSL122. It starts out having full sound then all of a sudden no sound then after a few seconds, minutes or several minutes sound is back!

I suspect it's your input jack if it stops working immediately and comes back immediatly rather than fading in and out. Give it and any other jacks a good cleaning and see if it helps.

Hi to all, can you help me guys, i am having a problem with my Lcd monitor AOCTFT1560ps, my screen turns black after a few seconds and my OSD was locked..... HELP ME GUYS!! thanks

This link may help. You can try to do something if it is connected to a computer. If not, you can disconnect the video cable from both end and wait for 5 minutes and reconnect it. After your monitor wake up, use your OSD to disable sleeping mode, hiberation mode or turn off monitor mode within power options.

Hi I bought Razer Mako speakers few days ago, and from the start i've got this problem... The speakers stop working (there's no sound) after few minutes (from 7 to 15) of playing, the same for different...

I had the same problem today. Don't know what caused it. But I turned off the Makos using the switch behind the subwoofer waited about a minute then turned them back on, problem solved.

Hope this helps you and others who encounter this problem.

Marshall MB4410 - Dies and comes back to life every few minutes..

Our bassplayer had the same problem with his mb4410. As it turned out, the fan was not working when the amp got hot. It did turn when cold - go figure! Swap the fan for a good quality (Pabst, Sunon) 80mm pc fan with 2-wire connection. Three or four wire fans will not work w/out modding. See your local pc guy and ask for an unregulated, silent 24/7 fans. He will know. Our bassplayer sold the P.O.S. while still in warranty. HTH.

No sound

You should see if you could download the latest drivers for the sound card, this might fix your issue. You can download the drivers for your Dell model here --> http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_P4_4600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=. Also there appears to be a patch available, however it might not apply to your audio card. Make sure that you know the manufacturer of the audio card, which can find by going to Start --> Run --> type in "control" (w/out quotes) and then press enter. Click on Sounds and Audio devices and then you should see who the manufacturer is. Hope that this helps
