Question about Casio Lands Phones
I'm missing the instructions for hooking up my PhoneMate 9300 machine. Also the adapter m/m60 is MIA. Anyone know the way to solve this?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Radio Shack's universal (9V-13V, Model 273-1631) adapter should work fine for you. You can try setting it to the 10.2V setting, and if that doesn't work for you, you can try the 12V setting. Given that wall current can easily fluctuate 10% or more, the 1V difference is unlikely to matter. Make sure you get the polarity of the Adaptaplug correct -- inverting the voltage could actually damage your answering machine!

The remote function will allow you to control your answering device from anywhere. On the Phonemate brand, you simply "key in" your answering machine's PIN number when your answering machine picks up your call. From there you can playback your messages, erase messages, record a different greeting and more. On some models the "default" PIN code is stamped on the bottom of the unit. Some units have a battery backup to retain messages if you have a power outage. If your PIN code IS printed there, and you have forgotten your PIN code, simply remove the battery from the bottom of the unit, wait a minute, and reinstall the battery. Your PIN code will be reset. I have attempted to get a manual for your unit and the best on the web so far has only come up with the address as follows
Phonemate Answering Machine Sales & Service Center 2321 Morena Blvd. San Diego, CA 92110 Phone:(619) 276-7312If this helps, let me know. We'll dig a little deeper.

I think the default access code for the 8500 is 123; But I'm not sure if # or * has to be entered first; try all three?

Use CODE button (under flip cover on left), then SCROLL DATA buttons ( under Diplay) and then SKIP button to select your preferred 3 digit code. 1) CODE; 2) SCROOL DATA up or down to desired 1st digit; 3) SKIP to advance to next digit; 4) Repeat 2) & 3) for 2nd &3rd digits; 5) CODE to finish. Call phone/answer machine from another phone and enter code -- after THE BEEP.
