Mobile phone stuck on download screen

My daughters phone was dropped into the sink of water, she got it out and took the battery out right away... we let the phone dry out but when you put the battery back in, the phone will only display a download screen. Any ideas how to fix this or is the phone ruined?

Your phone has been asphyxiated of data while underwater and out of power and would like to have its information back, hence the download screen. Take it to your provider for further assistance.

How to take apart the LG Versa to dry out moisture behind the touch screen. It went through the washing machine, appears to work otherwise though

I would not try and remove any backing or covers off cell phones. I dropped my cell in the lake a couple of years ago. I took the battery out and laid the phoone and battery on my dash for a couple of days and this baked out all the moisture. the phone still works today!!

Dropped my phone in sink of water

You may have caused a short in the device. Basically once your cellphone is exposed to water, the best solution would be to IMMEDIATELY remove the battery, and place the device in a bowl of rice. The rice serves to absorb the moisture, and within a day, should restore your phone :D.

It doesn't hurt to take it apart and dry it by hand though, but by trying to use a non-dry phone you may have to get a new one.

My mobile sony ericsoon W850i no open only flash

I think that your sony ericcson has been dropped somewhere or it is water damaged, if its a white screen which keeps flashing then its overheated or water damaged, it may need a new battery or will be about £30 GBP to fix. If this helps then please vote me!

Thanks

I dorped my cell phone

There's no cure, it's dead, sorry. Water and mobiles don't go together. Give it a worthy burial, say a few nice words and let it go gently to the heavens where mobile souls go.

Try a Nokia next. They are certainly better than LG.
