Same problem, turn it on and the lense pops in and out and then it says to power off and on again...this is my SECOND sony that has had this problem. My last one it happened to one day it just started working again, unfortunately it got stolen. Now I am having the same problem again.

I luckily am sending mine in for repair. I think that might be the only solution. :( I only had it for 4 months when it started doing this! I was SO enraged.

I've never even dropped it or exposed it to extreme temperatures, and its never been in contact with water, so I don't know why on earth this happened.

My Sony DSC-S60 camera lens in stuck open and my camera is stuck on access. It tells me turn off camera then back on. I have done that several times with no luck

Hi,
Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.
Performing a manual power reset
Turn off the camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Turn on the camera.
To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the SET UP1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.
If the issue persists, service may be required.
Thanks for contacting FixYa

TV has gone into "protect mode" to do just that to protect against the damaging failure that has been detected, you will need a servicer to diagnose the failure. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Tv wont come on and a red light is blinking. I have a Sony Wide screen projection TV model kp-46wt520

Can you unplug the TV for about 15 seconds, and then plug back in and watch the stand-by light. Tell me how many time the stand-by light blinks in regular intervals. If it doesn't blink at all, you need to change a fuse on the g-board. Once this is done run back through the stand-by blink light process, and more troubleshooting can be done if problem isn't already solved. If the stand-by light just keeps blinking with a count over ten just tell me, and I'll look for other possibilities.

TV will not turn on

Sounds like the power supply needs replacing.

TV repair is best done by a pro unless one has significant experience with it.

Sony turn the power off and on again

Your camera is telling you it has a problem. When the camera turns on a series of checks are done, if one fails the camera shuts down. Take a an authorized Sony repair center. As I tell most people today the cost of a new camera makes most camera repairs not worth doing.

Hi,
Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

Turn the power on and off again

I fixed this issue with my Sony Cybershot by gently (carefully) hitting the camera 3 times against a carpeted bench with the lens retracted and the camera turned off. It seems the lens gears were stuck. Now the camera works fine again.
