Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
Hi, the battery on this laptop won't recharge, but the connection between the pin from the adapter and the back of the laptop doesn't seem to be right - and now the laptop won't even switch on! The connection light was flickering for a while, but now there's no power getting through at all. Anyone got any ideas? Many thanks. Tracey
If the DC socket at the back of the laptop is moving, that means that one or more soldering joints on the motherboards are broken. The way to fix the problem is by disassembling the laptop completely, the laptop, taking motherboard out, and replacing the socket.
This requires full disassembling and a precision de-soldering and soldering job on the motherboard.
Using the computer in this conditions can cause further damage.

Check the cable from the adaptor to laptop . most common problem is the cable breaks inside the casing by moving it around you will be able to see if if flickers again or not.

According to your problem, this may occurs for either the
battery of your laptop or the charger is faulty. First check electric outlet where
you have plugged your laptop charger is OK. Then check the power cord. If
everything OK then you have to change the battery.
