You can't. Your intent to lock it will not make it happen. There are a number of ways to lock your data BEFORE the computer is stolen, but not after.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You may have to contact Lenovo for an answer and they will probably check their internal list for stolen serial numbers.

System lock pin code mac air

Someone has done a remote lock on your laptop. Probably the previous owner, a family member, or someone with access to your laptop and Applie ID account info. Ask them for the PIN code (the person in the know), call Apple and talk to the genius bar, or get your money back.

The other and more sad reason that this happened is because the laptop was stolen and the person that it was stolen from has locked it. BTW, Macbook Airs also have GPS inside so the owner can trace where it is and since they remotely locked it I would assume that they are looking for it. Hopefully this is not your case, but if it is....

When i start up my computer i keeps asking for an HDD Password

Yikes!!! I'm not calling you a thief, but 99% of the time when you encounter a laptop that has a lock on the hard drive and the person in possession of the laptop does not know the password, the laptop is stolen. The original owner put the lock on to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. It could have been put on remotely by the original owner once they realized the laptop was missing.

You're up the creek without a paddle.

Pasword on bootup

This is a bios lock password, designed to prevent theft or data theft if the laptop is stolen. Did you attempt to replace the Bios battery? Usually, this causes the machine to request a Bios pass and this can only be done (unless you want to spend an eternity using a bios cracking software utility) by an IBM service technician who will need to reset the bios password for you.

Even if you managed to crack the bios pass, the hard drive is usually locked in a similar fashion

If however it is an OS pass you can download a utility such as Ophcrack, burn it to Cd and boot from it to unlock the OS password (using another computer to do so of course). I'm giving this latter advice on the assumption that you DO own the laptop.

I have A Gateway S-7700n laptop need help to unlock

I believe that's a BIOS password you are referring to. If the laptop is indeed stolen then this will weed it out.
Call the manufactuer and ask about your problem. They should need certain information to help you, they can help you, sometimes it involves sending it in. HOWEVER, if it's stolen, it will be flagged when it's service tag (BIOS related and unchangable) comes up with someone else's name, address, etc. And authorities will end up being at your door. So, if it's stolen I guess you'll find out :) And if not, well, then your problem will be fixed.

Can it be possible to track stolen laptop location

There is no way on earth to track your laptop unless you had installed some software that would tell were is it once it's on-line such as "ADEONA" which by the way it's open source. I'm sorry to say but next time you buy one you could protect yourself by installing this kind of solutions. Remember that the worst enemy for a computer is it's user.
