Problem for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Remote Control
My monitor changes color on it's own.
Ever since I downloaded Smiley Central (which I have now uninstalled and deleted from computer) my monitor likes to turn light blue on it's own and for no reason imparticular and it is driving me madd!!
I have McAfee and am updated and scan my comp regularly - blah, blah, blah. It has discovered no problems. My comp is a Gateway, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2, with flat screen monitor - was brand new.

- I have a Gateway, Microsoft Vista program. My monitor changes colors, sometimes multi-colors of pink blue, grey, yellow etc. Also my screen saver (I use my pictures) does not always show the pictures in color; sometimes in black and white and sometimes multiple pictures show up on the screen. - lorrozzellMar 14, 2009
- I also have Microsof Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. My computer monitor is fine, until I start recording or watching with Media Center. The screen will be fine for about a minute, then it will haze up in pink and blue colors. When I reboot, system is fine. I've replaced video card and problem still exists. I doubt if this is related to the software you installed.
Check the video lead that runs from the PC to the monitor.
Sometimes the insulation becomes damaged or the wires break.
With the computer on gently wiggle the lead around at one end or the other while watching the monitor, if the colour flickers then you have found the location of the fault.
Also check the plugs are in firmly.
