does the plastic mat lift up? if so there should be a hole where it can be slipped back on , if it fell off more than likely you will need to replace it and the table should pop off by lifting it up.

SOURCE: Philco 841.205 Turntable Issues

I take it that it doesn't turn? OK two choices for you. Faulty motor, or a on/off switch that doesn't work. If you have to move the arm to start the turntable then some kind of leaver switch is either bent or broken.
I should imagine this model uses no more than a 12 volt motor. If you have no look with the switch, find the motor and take it out. Then stick a 9 volt battery on it, or lower voltage if it's only 6 volt motor. If it don't go it's bust!

To replace a drive belt.

1, Remove the rubber platter mat to expose the platter.
2. Put your thumb and forefinger through the two round holes and lift the platter off. You may need to give the centre spindle a light tap (whilst applying upward pressure) with a screwdriver handle or some similar tool that will not leave any marks or damage.
3. Remove the old belt and wipe the platter pulley and motor pulley with an alcohol swab to remove any old belt residue.
4. Place the new belt around the platter pulley making sure t is sitting flat without any twists.
5. Flip platter over the right way up. There are1or 2 larger rectangle shaped cut outs in the platter.
6. Through the cut out pinch up the belt and slip a finger or belt hook between the platter pulley and the belt gripping the belt ready to fit over the motor pulley.
7. Align the centre hole of the platter with the spindle and place platter back into position keeping a grip on the belt.
8. Slip belt over motor pulley and give the platter a light clockwise rotation to ensure the belt is riding correctly.
9. Replace the rubber mat and then run the turntable to ensure correct operation.

Job done.

My Philco 841205 Turntable spins normally, but

If this is a belt driven turntable then when the arm rests on the record the weight cause the belt to loose traction and slip around. The only cure is a new belt. Make a note of how the belt fits before removing as the biggest problem with belt turntables is knowing how the belt fits. When removed. Measure the diameter of the belt in MM and then the thickness. You won't need to be spot on with the diameter. Put the measurments into Google with the words turntable belt. Get the one that is nearest your measurements.

I have a Philco Classic ... the turntable did not work. I pulled the arm back, as suggested, and it worked! But it really drags when I try to play an LP. What now?

what do you mean it drags? I noticed if you don't pull the arm back far enough,it will turn on,but the arm will drag foward scratching your record. Try pulling it bacl ALL the way and then it should give you no problems.

How to put songs in this gogear mp3 player?

Open Windows Media Player. Hit the "Rip" tab at the top and put in the CD(s) you want to record. You can put in as many as you have hard disk space for. Each one takes 3-5 minutes to "Rip". When you are through, you will need to plug in your player via the included usb cable. Let the computer "find" it. Then, you will go back to Media Player and hit the "Sync" tab at the top. When it comes up you will see a list of the all music you recorded. You can drag and drop music from the center column to the right column under where your device is listed. If you drag whole albums, whole albums will be transferred. Once you are done, hit the "sync" button at the bottom right and wait for the fireworks to end. The "syncing" process goes very quickly. Now play music!

Streched CD drive belt

turntableneedles.com has about 450 belt sizes in stock. your unit is too new to have this listing yet as the belt should not have failed already so when you call be ready with the length of the old belt. Don't worry that it is stretched, a new size will be calculated that is about 3-5% shorter.

My music wont transfer to my player

I have a few for you.
The music needs to be in mp3 format
I use a program called super sound recorder and it converts them to mp3 or wave.
once you record the music the new one you will need to rename on super.
and drop and drag into player.

You can do the same thing with a free program called. mp3 conversion tool. good luck.
