The remote which should have come with the TV (purchased 2nd hand) didn't but a Plustron URC11E-8A universal remote was given to me. Can you tell me how to program this remote to make the TV work or give me the make of one which will.

Thanks for the info.

I tried using the instructions provided but got nowhere. There is no manual key code provided for the Celestial TV so perhaps you could give me some clues as to how I can access them.

Your assistance is appreciated.

) put on your tv set
2) press the "set" button and keep it pressed
3) also press the device button, "tv1" for example, the led lights up now.
4) now release both buttons, and press the "power "button on your remote once, the led goes blinking now.
5) aim your remote on your tv and press the power button on your remote slowly, repeat this just until your tv goes into standby; when your set goes in stanby, you have found a valable code, if the buttons correspond with the right functions , just press once more the "tv1" button to store the code.
otherwise repeat all the main steps to find another valable code...

On this website is the manual for the Universal remote for the plustron URC11E-8A. It will walk you through on how to set this remote up whether you want to set it up automatically, or set it up manually. Below I've listed how to do an auto search. If that doesnt work, do the manual search and look up the device code at the bottom. It will vary depending on which TV model you have.

For Auto Search:

1. Power on the device you want to control, If it is a VCR- it must be inserted with a tape.

2. Press and hold [SET] key, in the meantime, press and hold the Device key (for example: TV1) for more than 3 seconds and then release them, the auto search begins. The remote control enters into Auto Search, LED flashing, and remote control transmits power signal every 2.0 seconds automatically.

3.See if the device reacts or not, once the device reacts, press any key (except SET key) to stop the auto search.

4.Test if the other keys work good enough. If most keys work not good enough, please go to step B-D using Auto Search again to find the best code.

Remarks:

•Whenever you want to leave Auto Search mode, press any key (except SET key) to quit, and the LED will be off. The search is over.
•When remote control searches through all different type of codes (about 5 minutes). LED will have been on for 2 seconds, then the remote control will quit from search process automatically.
•In case you do not stop the auto search on time when you find the device reacts, you may use the Manual Search to search back to find the reactive code.

It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Hi We won't the plustron remote control code to operate a phillips tv. The remote is a Plustron URC11E-8. The model number of the TV is 29PT3323/79R.

Hi bro, I haven't a code for urc11e-8, i've only have a code for urc11c-8a.Just try the code hope it will work for your unit :-)
philips tv:
036,037,056,060,068,082,100,109,113,114,122,132,154,156,157,162,163,167,176,179,198,215,216.
try one code (3 digit) at a time.

if not working try the quick search.
Press the set+tv at the same time. (the tv must be powered on.)the led on the remote will be on at the moment.
Then press the set key again,the remote control enters into quick search mode, led keeps flashing.
then point the remote to your unit then press the power key (see the device reacts or not) if not try press the power key every one second until the unit reacts.
