Question about RCA RTD255 System

Broken DVD Loader Door

I just bought a used RTD255 system, and it seems to be working great. However, the DVD loader door is completely broken. It seems the little pegs that attach to the door have broken off. I am having some success super- gluing them back on, but I am not really sure how the little springs attach to the door assembly, and, more importantly, how the springs then attach to the inside of the unit. Does anyone have a picture of the assemble close up so I can see where I am supposed to poke those things? Thanks so much.

We have the RCA rtd250 and we are having the same problem with the springs. Were not sure where the hook to on the inside of the unit.

I have a similar problem where the machine is having a difficult time opening and closing. It seems there is a good bit of resistance in the gear trying to open and close this weird assembly. I have the RTD250 and I can assist the machine to open and close, but it appears to either be too week to open and close, or there is something that needs lubrication/fixing. I have taken this thing pretty far apart and lubricated almost every moving part, but it seems nothing is helping. The system works fine once the discs are loaded, so I would rather not trash the unit. I can't really afford a new one right now. Thanks.

I have the same TV and my problem is that I bumped into the tray and now can not figure out how to get it to slide in and out. I am able to get it to click into place but not slide in completely. Any Suggestions?

I have this unit in front of me and will try to explain. The springs act to close the door. Each spring pivots on a black pin that the door itself pivots on. The loop end of the spring goes on the hook on the back of the door. The kinked end of the spring goes underneath the retainer on the black plastic part which has the pivot pin. If this isn't clear, contact me at rumreich at gmail dot com.

Generally they put pressure on the door panel to "open" the door, doesn't really matter where as long as they are out of the way of the disk and the hinge, if you do it correctly they will self seat and not be an issue. hope this helps just keep thinking about it and it will become obvious, while you look at the assembly.

DVD DOOR DOESNT OPEN

Check its loading belt. It might have broken or loose. If it is OK, the disc loader mechanism is faulty and should be replaced.

I have a lionel automatic ore loader(6-12712) with no directions as how to assemble it or how it works. i did get it together using the pictures on the box,but have a tiny spring left over-no idea where it...

I know this is more than 2 years late, but if you still need the directions to the ore loader, I recently acquired a broken ore loader at a garage sale. While most of the parts were either broken or missing it did have a complete set of instructions I would be happy to scan and email.

Have DE progamme fault...

dE - Door (Front Loader) or Lid (Top Loader) Open Error = Close Door / lid

If error persists, check:
  1. Make sure the load is not too large - try taking some laundry out and see if the error persists.
  2. Wiring harness
  3. Door / lid switch assembly
  4. Unbalance switch
  5. Circuit board for defects.
  6. Check Drum retainer springs are situated correctly and are correctly tensioned.
  7. Make Sure Drum stabiliser struts are not misaligned or broken.

Repair / Replace faulty part.

It's probably the washer transmission. Belts aren't common anymore & besides it wouldn't work at all if there was a belt broken.
