Question about ASUS P4BGL-MX 845GL (AS04P4BGL-MX) Motherboard
Don't know if it is a software or hardware problem, but my guess goes for hardware. When I close my computer (from windows) everything goes well , the video signal turns off , also the supply LED but the coolers won't stop, pushing the restart button is useless cause the computer is somehow turned off but the supply voltage is present at the coolers. Tried an clear CMOS operation using the jumper near the BIOS chip (with no supply of course) but this didn't solved the problem . P.S. same problem when "long pushing" the supply button THX and excuse my english
Maybe you have a faulty Power Cord try replacing that first. Secondly check your powersupply's Fan if its turning. Lastly check your power button maybe its defective. SWITCH PROBLEMS Test it first by Shorting the connections in the motherboard. Use a Flat head metal screw driver. Be carefull though. A trick can be done here. Unplug it then spray the switch (Soaked) with warm distilled water with mild soap. then let it dry using a Hair Dryer. Then test! If failed, Replace the switch. If Persists then There is a problem with the Main Board or Power Driver.
