Not working on skype-i cant see my video whila chatting-it says clouse all your programs the cam can not start

A web cam can generally only be assigned to a single running windows application: what Skype is telling you is that your webcam is already 'locked' by another program and it is therefore unable to 'acquire' it.
Use Task Manager (e.g. CTL-ALT-DEL to access) and see what else is running and 'terminate' any tasks that can use your webcam.

The QuickCam Connect is a brand of Web camera manufactured by Logitech. It is among the lowest-priced in the Logitech line of cameras, and it was developed to work exclusively with the Windows operating system. As a result, the Logitech Web site does not offer software that allows users to connect the webcam to a Macintosh computer. However, third-party software is available at no charge to enable you to use a QuickCam Connect with your Mac.

Plug your QuickCam Connect into an available USB port on the Macintosh. Navigate to the Macam download site, which is hyperlinked on the site or is available below. Note: When you arrive at this download site, the application will immediately begin downloading onto your Macintosh. After the software has downloaded to your computer, it will automatically decompress and a disk drive icon will appear on your desktop. A dialog window will open in the Finder. The Macam application is pictured within the dialog window, and should be highlighted, then dragged to your applications folder. From the "Applications" folder, double-click on the Macam icon and open the program. Navigate back to the Macam dialog window that opened on your desktop after the application was downloaded from the Internet. Highlight and drag the "macam.component" to the "/Library/QuickTime/" folder. Use a simple video viewer to verify that the component is installed correctly. QuickCam Connect and iChat IChat is a popular instant messaging application that comes with the Macintosh OS. The software download that allows you to use a QuickCam Connect with your Mac needs another piece of software to be compatible with iChat. Unfortunately, this compatibility is not free. Navitage to Ecamm Network (see Below) and locate iUSBCam, a software application that will make iChat compatible with QuickCam Connect. IUSBCam costs $9.95 as of January 2010. After purchasing the software, download and follow the installation steps that accompany the application. Help with installation and applications.

How to take picture on webcam in windows 7

take picture with built in webcam b> Launch the "Photo Booth" application. If it's not in your dock menu options, locate it under the "Applications" folder. Once "Photo Booth" is open an image of what the webcam sees will display on the window. Move your computer webcam or monitor as necessary to capture the image you want. Click on the red button at the bottom of the window to take the picture. The "3, 2, 1" countdown displays and the picture is taken. Add effects if necessary prior to taking the picture, by clicking on the "Effects" button on the lower-right. Choose the effect you wish to use and click on the red button again. b> Take Pictures in Windows Launch the application that corresponds to your built-in webcam. If you are unsure, go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the latest driver that corresponds to your computer webcam. Install the drivers if necessary and restart your computer when the install process is completed. Once the given application is running, move your hand in front of the webcam to make sure it recognizes an image. Move your computer webcam or monitor as necessary to capture the image you want. Click on the specific button for Take Picture, Snapshot or Image Capture. Depending on your Windows operating system, the pictures will be automatically played or viewed by different applications, such as Quickplay or Windows Photo Gallery.

To locate the picture, look under the "Shared Documents" folder or go to the "Preferences" menu in the webcam's application to see where the pictures are saved. b> Taking Pictures Through Online Applications On your Web browser, enter the Web address of an online webcam-application site, such as cameroid or picanom (See links Below). No downloads will be necessary. Click on the "Snap" tab from any of these applications. A viewing area will display and an "Adobe Flash Player Settings" dialog box might appear, alerting you to "Allow" or "Deny" camera and microphone access by this site. Once allowed, a live image of what your webcam sees will display in the viewable area. Select from the list of Effects, Filters, Scenes or Frames if necessary or applicable.
Click on the "Snapshot" icon to take the picture you desire. Once the picture is taken, a menu will display for you to choose your download. Click on the "Download a JPG file" option, then confirm the action by pressing "OK." also make sure you have all software needed

Click start right click on computer select properties device manager scroll to image devices expand right click to update driver in W7 on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: webcam name webcam driver you might have to try a few times to get it right software if you dont have the driver you will need to download one here rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours Windows XP/Vista/7/8 It might take some time being a freeware driver solution note: it will find all of your outdated drivers this is a free driver solutions This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

Broken digital signature for logitech C110 webcam . how do i fix it ?

With the rise of viruses, adware and spyware in computer systems Microsoft has taken an extra step to improve security in applications. Windows Vista requires a valid digital signature to install programs, but it can be a bother to the advanced computer user. This article will explain how to run downloaded applications that don't have a valid digital signature.

Open "Internet Explorer" and bring up the "Internet Explorer Menu Toolbar" by holding down the "ALT" key. Navigate to the "Tools" menu by pressing "T" on your keyboard or clicking on "Tools." Select "Internet Options" and navigate to the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down and check off "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid." This will allow any downloaded program to run even if there is no valid digital signature.

When i downloaded and installed the software cdthat came with the webcam it failed to launch and says "application error"

Hi yodevenn,

When an Error says Application Error two things may cause that and it can be a possible problem with the installation itself or possible that you may need to see if the program runs on the specific windows that you have.

If you have windows 7 you may try to Run the program as an Administrator and see if it will install properly without any error, if still the issue form the disc occurs try downloading from the website Download there are several application for your Kodak Web cam on the link I gave the Kodak Easy share is the most commonly used for web cameras and digital cameras you might wanna try that first.

details about the S100 not compatible with win7

Webcam problem

The warning message means the Manufacture has not submitted the drivers/software for Windows Logo program or its driver validation tests.

Generally, if the drivers are from the Hardware Manufacture, you can ignore the warning and continue to install the driver/software
