Hotpoint Aquarius WD62D

Sorry I know that this is for WD63 machines, but the door seal is split on my WD62D machine, and I wondered if you could tell me if it is a DIY job for a fairly profficient DIYer, or should I call an engineer? If it is a simple job, could you tell me where to get instructions from please? Many Thanks Milack

Water leaks on spin cycle

Water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

How do i remove rubber seal on hotpoint washing machine for getting in to door lock

No need to remove seal.
Remove top cover, undo 2 screws securing door lock. and reach down inside the washer to access the door lock.. This is the easy to do it.

There is water leaking from the bottom of my machine. its not the drain pipe but can't find my manual to see where the filter is. could that be the problem many thanks Sue

Unlikely to be filter leaking.
Carefully check the door seal for a split or hole in it, it is easy to miss a hole, so examine it closely.
The filter is located inside the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Hope this helps.

Door problem

hi from the uk kath ? you correct in your diagnosis! and is a common problem as machine ages there is a micro switch/delay switch where the door latches ok? if you unplug power from machine then remove the top screws from rear panel (these also hold top panel ) then lift top panel and pull back slightly you can lift top off ?ok now look inside machine where door latches ? you should see the m/delay switch with an elec plug/wires attached ? unplug then undo the screws that secure the switch and lift out the prob with switch is because it is fibre/plastic it gets stiff due to wear/dust so use some wd40 and spray it all around the plunger of switch and work it manually by hand in/out you will know when it operates freely! then dry and refit switch and elec plug/wires (almost forgot !do all this with dooropen on machine sorry ) then reassemble panels and secure reconnect power put some washing in for testing then push door closed gently at the point where release handle is ? always close at this point ? select wash type then start ! your machine will/should start wash cycle ok ? if it does? then congratulations! you have saved $$$$s then when cycle has finished completely ! wait untill light goes off (this is the switch delay ) then you will find door opens easily ? hope this helps and inspires you ? any problems e mail back best wishes from the n/west uk

Leaking washing machine - hotpoint aquarius 1100 - wm63

water leaks are very hard to locate as the water always drips from the bottom, it is just a case of detailed looking, after a while there will be a dry white mark where the water has dried out, this will show where the leak originated from, there are a few things at the front of the machine that it could be, sorry can't help much more nearly all parts can be bought by the public and with common sense and taking very detailed notes where wires came from etc, most jobs can be done by a competent diy person with basic electrical knowledge remember water and electric do not mix always unplug from power supply where working on any appliance
