It means the CD is not working... Just check with that CD. Write some data in the CD. After writing them put that CD inside and check whether the content is there or not...

My 16GB USB flash drive is completely empty, but its properties indicate that 14.6GB of space are in use and only 319MB are available. It has worked appropriately for a long time until now. I am now unable...

I think it could be due to virus activity. Some virus make the contents of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files and the space available for use is less than the capacity.
It is suggested that go to FOLDER OPTIONS - and seclect SHOW HIDDEN FILES. It may show the hidden files. Otherwise, if you dont have any vital data on the drive, just format it. Hope this would fix the issue and you would be able to enjoy the full capacity of the disk

Let me know if any further clarification is required. Hope this helps! Dont forget to rate the solution!!

I need to open the computer to see what it got inside

Rather try software it's quite accurate and it is much quicker. Right click My Computer and select properties. This will bring up your computers CPU speed, RAM size installed and the version of operating system. Then to see the size of the hard drive, double click my computer and right click your hard drive, then select properties. This will show how much space is available as well as the capacity of your hard drive.
Click here to download CPU-Z, it will give you detailed information about your CPU, RAM, Mainboard and Graphics.

Very use-full program to have available.
All the best, Thumbs up!!!

I have a Dell Dimension C521 computer with a LG DVD drive. Trying to send a file to this drive using either a new writable cd or a cd-rw and I get a message that the cd is full and the file cannot be...

Try to check your cd-rw or cd-r that are new and did not use anymore or maybe it was damage. And maybe the files that you copied are exceed the capacity of the cd-r or cd-rw so that they could not write the files. If your using the Nero Burning ROM you just see the capacity of your cd-r or cd-rw before you going to write it to the cd. Just make sure that the files you want to copy are not exceed the capacity of the cd.

CD /DVD burner not identifying the disc

Hi

Type of media settings might be the issue but making a change for standard CD/DVD recording (it affects reading too) Issue can be resolved. Right click on the CD/DVD drive (Usually D or E drive ) click on properties and select and choose the recording option. Click the enable CD recording for this drive option

Click on apply and OK. Try again. You may try after reboot the computer. If issue persist please post so we can think about some alternate solutions.

Good Luck
