Can you provide instructions here to advise how to release the arm from the IsoFix connector in the car. I just want to remove my FamilyFix base so I can buy a new one. Problem is right now it is stuck to the car. I'm in Hong Kong and can't find details on the Maxi-Cosi website
Hi Richard
Pop the grey covers off the IsoFix points and use a pair of pliers to squeeze the points and it will release them from the IsoFix in the vehicle. Once this is done, you can contact the customer care team for assistance -

Get back to where you bought it for a replacement - these things HAVE to work perfectly to keep your child safe - don't try to "fix" it you could live to regret it.

Hi,
The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).
I hope this helps.

The 'Isofix guides' are available to buy from Dorel UK LTD (01842 767965) (See maxicosi website/customer services) for £7.99+P&P @ £3.99.
When I called (as one of mine is broken) they told me they are not essential to fit the car seat safely - they are simply 'guides' and if the actual forks on the seat are not damaged in anyway; not having the guides will not affect the car seat performance in any way.
Kindest regards

SOURCE: how do you remove the isofix base from the car
Every ISOFIX base has a button which you can press and release the base from the car seat.
Usually it's a round one at the junction of the ISOFIX base and it's LEG

Good Afternoon
On either side of the EasyFix base you will see a small square opening with the yellow IsoFix point showing through it. Take a flat head screwdriver and slide into this hole facing toward the front of the car and gently push the screwdriver handle so it ends up facing the rear of the car - this should unlock the IsoFix mechanism. You'll need to do it on both sides if both sides are stuck.
If this doesn't work, or once you have done this, take the base back to your retailer with your proof of purchase if it is under 2 years old and they will be able to assist.

I have exactly the same problem. I live in HK and want to get my FamilyFix base removed so I can just buy a new one and throw the old one out. No one seems to be able to tell me how to remove it though. There must be some workaround
Attached is a view of my issue, the silver pin should be under the grey release button
