You cant configure your bios version thats something thats programmed into the EPROM or flash memory on the motherboard you can update it using the utility and latest firmware from your motherboard manufacturers website to add functionality or features to your motherboard ie so you can use larger hard drives or that sort of thing.
Other then that the version of your bios is just to let you know what version you have so you can establish if you need to update it or if its the latest version or not.
