Access database 2003 problem with a copy of database file. How to fix?

You say corrupt, in what way exactly? Do you get any specific error numbers/messages?

Have you tried Access repair program? Compact and Repair. If not, use it. But ensure that you made a backup, it is necessary because all the recovery tips can make the damage even worse.

Also try Jet Compact Utility. This tool created by Microsoft and it is much like Compact and Repair, but more successful in repairing.

If no one of above advice helps, then perhaps you need more powerful solution. In this case try to run a good third-party. I would recommend Recovery Toolbox for Access. It must help you. https://access.recoverytoolbox.com/

MS Access database recovery

Have you tried creating a NEW MDB, and then IMPORTING the objects from the Crashed/Corrupted MDB?

This will SOMETIMES serve to rescue most if not all of the corrupted entities .

Or:
You can try:
eRepair Access is a powerful Access database recovery solution for damaged *.mdb and *.accdb files created in Access 2000 and above. Having such a tool at hand immediately after a database file corruption incident may save you a great deal of time, nerve and, of course, an ample amount of money that would otherwise be paid to third-party recovery services. With eRepair Access, you don't need to depend on anyone and entrust your Access data (often quite sensitive) into somebody else's hands. You don't have to wait. You don't have to call it a day knowing that the damaged Access file will not be restored (if at all) until tomorrow. With eRepair Access, you can be back in the game within minutes!

BCM Problem ... Lost Contacts

The BCM uninstallation doesn't delete your databases. They should still be on your computer here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application

With either a *.mdf or *.ldf extension. Those are SQL databases which you can get the data off and into a CSV file which you can import into outlook (of course technical expertise is needed) or you could more easily (once the problem with BCM is resolved), make BCM re-recognize the databases by following these instructions:

1. Go into BCM and create a new database. That database needs to match the
name of the .MDF file. So if the MDF file is named "MyBusiness.MDF", create
a new BCM Database with that name

2. Stop the MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ Server by going to Start > Run >
services.msc and selecting the MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ service
3. Copy the original .mdf & .ldf files over the blank database. They should
be in the following location
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager

4. Start the Server again (see step 2)
5. Restart BCM and see if you can access your data

which I found here (credit to Larry from the Lockergnome's forums).

If you could write what the error message is I could possibly help you resolve the BCM problem you're having, thereby making it easier for you to view the data on the SQL database files.

MS Access 2003 Development - Format Problem

Hi, the difficulty to solve your problem is that we are not familiar with Appx. I have faced this problem numerous time, but usually it was from Excel to Access. Now if you can transfer it to Excel then you can change the format in Excel to Text and import it into Access. I have also read a little of the Appx manuals and it says there that you can work with ODBC, are you using it? ODBC will create a connection between the APPX application Database and Access, you should be able to do your queries directly from the ODBC connection without the need to import the table. Here is a PDF manual of how to set it up from their website: http://www.appx.com/ftp/appx/documents/manuals/appx/appxodbc/current/appxodbc-manual.pdf I hope it helps, let me know and I will try to do my best to solve your problem.
