My Hard drive crashed and I have replaced it with a WD320 and now when I try to load Windows XP PRO it won't load the ntfs files and a bunch of other files and when it trys to load off the HD it says the Bootmgr is missing. I am useing a true Windows disk I have a M7VIG 400 rev 7.1 board 1 gig of ram the hard drive is showing in the bios and it trys to load from the HD but comes up with the bootmgr is missing and no I didn't make a reboot disk I even tried to load vista and it won't even see the cd rom disk in the cd rom drive what am I doing wrong or miss doing?
1) If you are trying to install from a bootable disk and trying to make a fresh install, you will not come across this error.
2) If you are trying to repair the existing installation, you might need to use FIXBOOT command and try. Please refer the below link before you try this.
