Question about iLO MP3 Player

Order File for Audio Book

My public library uses Overdrive Media Console for windows that allows audio e-book check-out. It downloads to computer in the Overdrive Media format. A 14-hour book downloads in a few minutes but downloads into nubmered files. My ILO MP3 reorders the files placing file number 10 in front of file number 1 which puts the book sequence out of order. Any suggestions?

Re: Order File for Audio Book

Can you rename the files? If so, try renaming the single digit chapters to have two digits - for example 1 becomes 01, 2 becomes 02, etc.

Cannot transfer a mps file to sansa clip error message you do not have permission to create this file

The file is probably DRM-protected. It is possible to remove the protection using a software program.

How and where do i put e-books on my mp3 player model HS-57

If by e-books you mean books you can read (visually), you are out of luck. On an MP3 player you can only LISTEN to AUDIO books in MP3 format. You can buy such books at and other places. Another option is to check with your public library to see if they have a downloadable audio book service, which is free but with limited number of books. You download the books to your computer, connect the player to the computer using the USB cable that came with the player and copy/transfer the books from the computer to the player.

Downloading audio books onto a Sony MP3 player.

MP3 players can only play music and audio books files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :-

I have Audio books that I want to put on my mp3 player, but I dont know how to get it to sync to my device and go into the Audiobooks instead of Music

First download the driver from your player's manufacture's site. It will be under download tab or support tab.
Download and install driver, then restart pc

Then turn on device, then plug into pc, then go to my computer, then you should see your device there. Double-click on the device folder. Now you can see and will have access to all folders.
You can leave this page up, then go to the page & file that your book is on. click, hold, and then drag this file over to the audio book folder and release the button, it will transfer the book to the mp3 player audio book file.
You can also use windows media player 11 and sync your mp3 player to your windows media player and create a playlist or library and transfer them onto mp3 player as well

I received the following message after downloading an audio book using Overdrive Media Console. Error message: "Please obtain license by transferring this title to device using audiobook...

I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Cannot play wma audio book on mp3

Audiobooks in WMA format have a restrictive DRM-license that does not allow their use on certain types of mp3 player. To use the WMA file that you already have, you will need to use an illegal DRM-stripper such as Tunebite - but, that's illegal.

You will have to stick to audiobooks that are in mp3 format - and even then, there are a few asterisks - you may not be able to resume where you left off without fast-forwarding. But at least you will be able to play the file.

Using Overdrive Media Console to transfer audio books I had downloaded from the public library to my Sansa 200 I get an error message 0XC00D2772. Everything had worked fine for 3 months prior to this...

Had the same problem
I fixed it on my e260. The solution: Drag and drop the mp3 file directly into your media player, skip the overdrive 'wizzard', you need to find the folder where the media is stored.
