Ok, couple of ways, I'll start with the easy one - Go to a blank space on your desktop (anywhere its blank) and right click. You get a drop down window, go to the bottom where it says Personalize (it says Properties in windows XP)

Windows Vista - You get a window with a buncha links - the bottom should be display settings. click it. You'll see a long bar where u can drag a notch across from left to right... move it over to the right 1 notch, click apply (screen may get smaller, but its normal, just zooms out) Then click yes if a windows asks u if its ok. then click apply, and ok on the display settings window. Then try running the disk again... if it give u the same error, repeat the steps, just moving it over to the right a notch (just 1) each time.

Windows XP - You'll get a window with a buncha tabs. click settings tab. You'll see a notch to drag left and right. move it over to the right 1 notch, click apply (screen may get smaller, but its normal, just zooms out) Then click yes if a windows asks u if its ok. then click apply, and ok on the display settings window. Then try running the disk again... if it give u the same error, repeat the steps, just moving it over to the right a notch (just 1) each time.

Hope it works out! My grandma just now asked me how to do it, and since i love her so, and don't want anyone stuck on this error either, I'm posting it for yas:-)

I have a Canon A460 and the only red light I know of is the auto-focus light. If it's a low battery you'll see the indicator on the screen, not a light.

Canon powershot a460

I have a Canon A460 that does this every now and then. Usually if I removed the batteries and put them back in, it does the trick. If that doesn't work, and the camera will stay on, try resetting it. Click Menu> Tools and then scroll all the way to the last option Reset All. Good luck!
