Question about Fisher and Paykel DEGX1 Electric Dryer
Dryer was heating ok but was having to reset the thermal protection about bi-weekly, so I installed the heating element upgrade kit "395711" in my 4 year old dryer following all instructions included with the kit. Turned the dryer on and now it wont heat at all. I noticed there was an extra set of contacts on the circuit board that came with the kit. My dryer is not wired for them. All ducts are clean and not restricted, all electrical connections are clean and solid. Moisture sensor in the drum is clean. This model does not have a display screen for trouble codes. Any ideas?? Also there was mention of a Tech Bulletin "S-FDRT-06-02". Anyone have a copy of this available?

395711 Heater Upgrade Kit Heater kit 395711 includes several additional parts that must be installed along with the heaters. Kit comes with all thermostats and a new sensor board. Be sure to replace ALL PARTS in this kit, even if the old parts appear to be good. Dryer performance will increase greatly with this kit. Check the connectors coming from the touch board to the sensor module (located on the left side, under the top deck) Look in the back left corner where the blue wires are tucked into a retainer clip and then the end is plugged into the sensor board. Make sure the connection is secure and check if you may have pinched or cut any of the wires in the process of working on the dryer. Look closely for a harness you may have missed.
