Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
I can't wake the computer (shaking the mouse or pressing on any key) other than by pressing the power button.
This is despite the fact that my keyboard properties authorizes it to wake the computer.
I have Vista.
Thank you very much, Patrice
Probably there is no connection between your keyboard and mouse to the CPU. Check for proper connection of your keyboard and mouse. If the connection is good, probably there is the problem with the cord that is connected with your mouse or keyboard.
Turn off first your PC before making any connections.
After you confirmed that there is no problem with the connection, probably the problem is at your mouse or the keyboard itself.

On most computers, you can resume working by pressing your
computer's power button. However, not all computers are the same. You might be
able to wake your computer by pressing any key on the keyboard, clicking a mouse
button, or opening the lid on a laptop. Check the documentation that came with
your computer or go to the manufacturer's website.
