First restart your Toshiba laptop. Press either "F1," "0," or "F8" to be taken to your computer's hard drive utility screen. The key command differs depending on the model Toshiba computer that you own.

Select "Restore Original Factory Image" from the list of options in System Recovery. Verify that you want to continue the process by clicking "Yes," then click "Next".

Restart the Toshiba laptop once the factory restore process has been completed. You will be prompted to enter information such as the date, time and language preferences.

Feel free to get the reliable technical help at http://www.vtechsquad.com/toshiba-support/ for troubleshoot all kind of Toshiba PC(laptop and desktop).

The best advice I feel that I can give you, is to contact Toshiba Support, and ask about how to obtain the Recovery Disk, for your Satellite L305-S5919.

Toshiba Support- Contact Us,

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact

Generally, the Recovery Disk contents can be downloaded over the internet, or a Recovery Disk CD is mailed to you.
If it's feasible for you, I advise having the CD mailed to you.

This way you'll have a CD, accessible right at your fingertips, and can do a Fresh Install, or a Repair, whenever you like.

Would also like to offer the Drivers and Software download page, for your Toshiba laptop.
It's best to Refine your search, and go to the top heading -> Refine Search By: Operating System <- , and choose the Operating System you're using. (Examples: Windows XP or Windows Vista)

If you have not yet found time to call Toshiba and get the recovery CD you may try the following:
1. Reboot you system
2. Press F1 (immediately you get options to press F2 and F12)
3. Press F8 (this will give you more options including system recovery)

Please ignore if you already have the CD. Having the CD is the best as previously said.

The step above have helped me many times to avoid doing factory system restore. I hope it helps you or someone else.

Is there a way to restore factory settings (out of the box settings) for the Toshiba Satellite A65-S1062?

Hi blackrose696. There's 2 ways. 1.- If you go to My Computer and see a partition (probably D:) called recovery, go to Start - All Programs - and see if you see under Toshiba - something called recovery or restore (you WILL loose ALL your data) and follow the instruction. If you DO see the partition but you dont see anything under Toshiba folder, then restart the computer and inmediately you will see something like Press F10 or F12 to boot from recovery partition.
If you dont see the recovery partition. The only way is using the Restore CDs... if you dont have those you have to order them from the Toshiba website. (they cost like $15) so that way you are sure you get the license and the drivers correctly. I hope this helps. Please do not forget to rate and provide positive feedback from our support today. Thank you :D

When i turn the power on it takes me to system recovery menu. I have a Toshiba L305 S5907

It takes you to system recovery either because your boot sector has been lost, or because your laptop is missing key files to run windows. The only solution is to allow recovery to run and replace your windows installation unless you have the original restore disk and can do a system recovery with that.

Need to hard restore Toshiba Satellite L305-S5945 to its orginal state. How do I do that? The Satellite L305-S5945 is the correct product info not the L305-S5941. It is a laptop.

For the very original state you'll need the Toshiba discs. Insert the one that's labeled as needed to restore your system and boot to it. At one point you'll be promtped to delete the existing partition (this wipes your data) and then you can reinstall Windows on the empty partition. If yo udo not have the Toshiba discs, you can still load Windows using a Windows installation disc, but you will likely need to find the missing drivers for your laptop, so don't go this route unless you are comfortable with it.

How to do a system recovery in toshiba L305-S5944

First backup all data or software that you don't want to lose!! This is important because you will lose anything that is on your computer...if you are doing a clean recovery to factory settings. Then insert the recovery disc that came with your computer and restart. It should automatically start and many take a little while to finish. If you are referring to a system restore, this can be located at Start>all programs> accessories>system tools> system restore. Using the latter of the two, you still want to back up any software you installed before the date of restore.

Can i record songs on to a cd from my toshiba L305-S5919?

Yes

You get a copy of a program called Nero Burning load that onto your laptop and that allows you to create a cd of music with different formats such as .wav .mp3 etc

Go to www.filehippo.com and look at their selection
