Remote start worked fine for several years on my 2003 Chevy s10 till I replaced the battery. After reprogramming the re"cool start remote"... it works everything but remote start starts...runs a second or so n shuts off??!! Even controls trucks alarm. But won't remote start!?

SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. You need to take your car to a chevy dealer because they have the procedure for that, if tou call they wont help you by phone, they charge afee for that.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, CHANGED OUT BATTERIES IN MY REMOTES AND HAD THEM TESTED AND THEY WORKED FINE. THEY DEALERSHIP STATED IT WAS NOT UNDER WARANTY AND IT WOULD COST $600 TO FIX IT. YOU CAN ONLY REPLACE IT THRU A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. KIND OF A SCAM!
