Computer will not recognize sandisk express

How do I get my computer to recognize the MP3 player? Thanks so much Ellie

at the begining the Sansa Express MP3 player, was filled with some battery life. and I was able to connect it to a usb entry. so i used the player as a FM Radio for a short time, until the battery was too low. so i have tried again to connect it to the same usb connector to recharge the battery , but now with my Win-xp HE , the OS wouldn't recognize the player and I can't put the power on the player . so I'm not able to do anything.I have downloaded the firmeWare driver updater , but if I can't turn on the player , nothing will work.

I faced the same problem with 'sansa clip MP3 player', with this player I couldn't do anything at all , even with the Helpdesk support of sandisk at the US, so I returned the player to the store and get refund .

Now I am really trapped again with the Express player.

It depends on the computer and the operating system. Older ones need help, called a "driver", that you can get from Sandisk or the 'net. What is your CPU (e.g. Pentium 4, not brand) and OS (e.g. Windows 98, Mac OS 9, etc.)?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

There is online support for Sansa Express. When searching for Answers on the topic "express" it gives next list:

Going to item 13 "Sansa player not recognized by the computer":

When the player is brand new, click on the link in the opened page in the page top or use next direct link:

Won't start--No Sandisk display.

Download and install the firmware updater.
If that doesn't resolve, your player may really have a hardware issue. The battery is not replaceable by the consumer. My reccomendation is to exchange it with the store. If that fails, redeem your warranty through Sandisk (hope you saved your receipt).

My sansa express is not recognizing the computer device

It sounds like your mp3 has a low battery and needs to be charged most models require you to turn the power on the mp3 on before you plug it in to be charged and then you leave the power on while it charges.

My sansadisk express mp3 doesnt work anymore

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My sansa express does not wok and is a brand new one

If it is still under warranty, then you should take the mp3 player back to the store, tell them it doesn't work and that you would like to exchange it for another one.

SanDisk mp3

this just seems to happen. it could be the USB, but most of the time it just seems to be one of the problems sandisks get.
sometimes mine doesn't turn on, just leave it for a minute and come back.
