-   at the begining the Sansa Express MP3 player, was filled with some battery life. and I was able to connect it to a usb entry. so i used the player as a FM Radio for a short time, until the battery was too low. so i have tried again to connect it to the same usb connector to recharge the battery , but now with my Win-xp HE , the OS wouldn't recognize the player and I can't put the power on the player . so I'm not able to do anything.I have downloaded the firmeWare driver updater , but if I can't turn on the player , nothing will work.
I faced the same problem with 'sansa clip MP3 player', with this player I couldn't do anything at all , even with the Helpdesk support of sandisk at the US, so I returned the player to the store and get refund .
Now I am really trapped again with the Express player.

It depends on the computer and the operating system. Older ones need help, called a "driver", that you can get from Sandisk or the 'net. What is your CPU (e.g. Pentium 4, not brand) and OS (e.g. Windows 98, Mac OS 9, etc.)?

We have a Sansa Express that we bought a few years ago. It was used a few times, then misplaced. We found it probably 6 months later and can't get it to charge at all through the USB port. We have tried it on several USB ports and get nothing. I hate to think that we paid $50 for a few uses. Anything we can do?
