Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Hello there, would it possible to get a replacement tape deck motor for Sony MHC 5600 CD model, this is the main motor driving the capston. Since this is UK model I have trouble getting this particular part from stockists in Australia. Would you be able to assist in tracking this parts down? Thanks.

Hello Voodoomox, thanks for your quick response. In ordering this part from Sony Australia do I need to quote the part number as per your e-mail and furthermore I was told by aservice technician that I need to know whether this motor works Clockwise (CW) or Counter Clockwise (CWW). Would this make any difference because I would have thought that you swop the wires around to change the polarity.

    Best regards,

    "H" Heyer.

Thanks for your quick response Voodoomox. I will be placing an order with WES Components based in Sydney for this motor. Would this motor go under the part name which you mentioned in your initial e-mail. Thanks for your time and effort in this matter, really appreciated.

    Regards,

    "H" Heyer.

Hi heyyer,

thank you for using fixya.

Sony Center Australia has the part compatible to the motor you are looking for MHC-5600.

http://www.sonycentres.com.au/

if i'm not mistaken, it is the MHC-GT444,

The center has a wide range of OEM parts for all sony models. If it is not available in the area, they can have it requested from Sony UK.

hope this helps, should you have other questions please do not hesitate to let us know.

regads,

    thanks for replying,

as per the appliance info, it has a transistor like piece that makes sure that the motor will only go one direction which is counter clockwise facing front and secondary plastic gears. once you have ordered the piece it can be installed through DIY or you can go back to the electrician that gave you the recommendation for an easier installation.

good luck on this one, please accept any answer to your question as desired. im looking forward to working with you again.

    regards,

    voodoo

I don't think Marrs will have something like that but Consolidated will. You will need to take them off measure how tight they were and order slightly smaller belts about 5% and install those.

Sony mhc-2600 tape stuck

The tape has spewed out in the mechanical section preventing the door from opening, some outer doors can be removed by too thumb screws sliding up and out, others are held in by plastic clips, the door may have to be pried open to get the outer door off to remove the tape.

How to burn a Cd

The Sony MHC-BX2 can record from a CD to a cassette tape. This model doesn't have a CD burner. The manual for the MHC-BX2 is available from Sony support: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=MHCBX2&template_id=1&region_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . See page 12 of the PDF.

If your unit is a different model, please post a comment with that model number. I wish that I had better news for you.

(on those shelf systems that can burn a CD, place a blank CD-R or CD-RW (if supported) in the disc tray. Use the function button to set the recording source (Phono with the Croseley units). Place the tape to record in the tape deck and press play reach a point a bit before the desired point to start the recording. (Some also will record from the radio, turntable, or other device. Again start the source playing.) Then press CD Record. Press Stop when you want the recording to stop or when one side of the tape/LP is finished. (Some have a Split Track button if you want to identify every track. Press this during the silent period between songs.) Otherwise, you will get one track per side with tapes/LPs.)

Sony mp3 MHC-RG440s

well fuses are at the power supply sections and if the tape was jamed inside the deck, just disconnect the plug and try to take-off the case/cover of your unit but before opening it wait for about 1-2 hours to discharge the capasitors and then disassymble your unit try to get the tape deck and then get a knife a scissor, something to cut the tape inside the deck, thats the best solution, but you won't get your tape back though even when you get your tape uncut well, when you play it again you will not get good sound.

maybe your tape deck have a problems, maybe a broken gears, a belt was snaped, or a relay is the main problem.

its better to observe your unit first before you play a tape again.

ok? hope you could get your system back in good condition and have a good day.
