I have this printer that when I power it on all the lights are on (power+data+pause+error) and nothing appears on the screen , so I tried to download the firmware by sending the file throw the LPT port just as the firmware's manual refers to , but the printer didn't respond , it just repsonds when holding the (+ , -) buttons while turning on and veiwing the DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE message on it's screen.
So , could PLS solve my problem if any one has the experince just reply on my message.
Thank you a lot.

First turn off the printer and then delete the job held at the computer in the print queue. Then turn the printer back on. The error should go away. Try printing the document again to see if the error returns. Normally a corrupt print job causes this issue. If the error appears with no jobs being sent to the printer then the formatter board is most likely bad.
Error code : Printer communication error Communication error between the Engine Controller PCB and the Main Controller PCB occurred.
Try turning off the device, unplug power cable and turn on to flush the memory. Change the power cable as well. If this doesn't resolve the issue, probably something is loose in the board. Contact your support.
A print server should just be a 'through-put' device, and the codes should go fine. ZPL-ZPL2 codes are subequently sent as comms to the printer port. Are you using seria; or parallel input to printer? Yo can capture the codes to a file, and review if they are correct. The file would have to be viewed in a hex editor.(write to a file through the driver) I routinely use different mfg. of print servers for thispurpose if the printer does not have an internal ethernet port. The only problem I have run into is a problem in network where a slow download is enountered.
I researched the solution for error code E000602-0003: Your hard drive
is going bad. Using the DSK CHK utility (1&9 while powering up) may
fix the bad sector and get rid of the error by trying HD clear &
then HD check for every sector in service mode , but more likely than
not, the error will come back. You can try to upgrade the system
software as well. If nothing works, you need to get the HDD replaced.
This problem happens alot in these models. Hope this helps.
Does your network have a dedicated computer server and the printer is attached to this server or is the printer attached to a dedicated print server device? OR Does a computer on your network shares its printer with other computers on your network? There is insufficient information on how you configured your printer setup for me to give you a proper answer to your problem.
