Question about Dishwashers
Dishwashers have a heating element underneath the lower spray arm. It is used to heat the water during the wash and rinse cycles and most use the same element to heat during the drying time.
Now, when a heating element fails, the other common symptom is poor cleaning, with a film on the glassware.
The first thing to do is inspect the heating element for breaks and/or "bubbles" on the surface of the element. Replacing it should clear your problem right up.
Good Luck! Please report back what you find. OK?
