Question about Garmin GPSMAP 176C GPS Receiver
Hi guys, I have a Garmin GPSMap 176C that will not turn on. It was working fine before I put it up in a closet for about a year. I stored it without batteries and it was in a dry, climate controlled environment. I took it out a few days ago and put new batteries in it to use it. The unit would not power up. I tried a different set of new batteries with the same result. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Did you use rechargeable batteries? The Garmin seems to be extremely picky about enough voltage. I had good rechargeables which I use in my foto flashlights, but they did not suffice for the Gamin. Simple non-rechargeable batteries ones solved my problem. Not good for the environment, but for my bearings...
