Sync locks up PC

Eversince I upgraded to ITunes 8.1.1 I can not sync my Touch. ITunes works fine by it self and the Ipod works fine by it seld. Go to sync and you get an endless "verifing I-Pod" message. If I run the sync tests they complete successfully. I have reloaded I-Tunes with the same results. Need ideas. Thanks,

Ipod touch wont sync with my iTunes since upgrading to ios8

If iTunes is not recognizing and syncing with the iPod Touch try:
http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS1538

Also try disabling your anti-virus software as this can cause communication issues with iTunes and your iOS device.

How do you upgrade ipod touch 2nd gen to be able to play fifa 11 we thought this was a 3rd gen when bought from argos in feb10 but told 3rd gen is onle 32gb or 64gb

to update your ipod touch second gen to 4.1 version you must connect to your itunes account on your computer with ipod attatched sync all apps, music, videos, everything because it will delete everything and needs everything backed up. then go to your ipod on itunes and it will say update, click it it will take around half an hour to update and restore you ipod fully. This worked for my ipod touch gen 2, it kept saying when i tried to update i still have things on my ipod not synced to itunes when i have synced multiple times but it updated ok and i do not notice anything missing. this is all i know about this i hope it helps.

How can i unlock my ipod touch? i forgot my passcode.

The only thing that could make your iPod touch work again is to put it to DFU mode and restore. I have a full instruction about that to guide you step by step, making sure that you're doing the right thing.

However, that process will wipe out all the data from your iPod, you won't even be able to sync or create a back-up because iTunes does not recognize any iPod that is passcode-locked.

That is also why you need to put your iPod to DFU mode first, so that iTunes can recognize it, to by-pass the fact that it is passcode-locked. And, once its in DFU mode, the only thing that you'll be able to do is to restore, nothing else. And you have no other choice.

Click here for instruction on how to put your iPod touch to DFU mode and restore.

PC locked up during/after ipod nano sync

are you using iTunes 8
version 8 is the buggiest version of iTunes yet.
I don;t think your alone with your problem.
Try putting you ipod in disk mode before you sync it.
to do that, Press and Hold the Menu and Center buttons until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.
Then quickly move your fingers to the Center and Play/Pause buttons until a check mark appears on the screen.
Connect it to iTunes and see if it helps,

Also, you may want to run a spyware program on your computer. you can find a free one at http://www.lavasoft.com/
often times when you get a bunch of spyware and junk in your computer it will act like your problem.

I have an older 30 gb video ipod and that worked jus fine but when i pluged in a newer ipod nano it doesnt connect and it does with a brand new 16 gb ipod touch. is there anyway to fix this problem?

When you synced to a newer version of iTunes, everything was fine, until you connected the nano and
the touch, which worked fine, and then you tried the 30 GB again and it would not work, right?

Upgrade the software in the 30GB, not with your original 30GB disks, but with newer disks supplied NOW
by Apple, since iTunes went to version 8.1.1 and everything should be back in sync.
