Bios lockout

If their is no password on your BIOS boot into BIOS and go to "Reset to Factory Defaults". If their is a PW you don't know you will have to remove the screws and clips that hold the keyboard on. Pull the keyboard up and underneath you will see the CMOS battery which looks like a watch battery. Pull it out and leave it out for 30 minutes or longer to allow the capacitors to drain. replace the battery and the keyboard and you should be back to factory defaults for the BIOS.

What is master Bios Master Password of IBM???2647 is The Model??

Are you asking for the password number itself, because only the guy that set it would know. If you are asking what it is, here: BIOS ( basic input/output system) is the basic boot program on the board that allows user interface with the chip. One can set a BIOS password to lockout a user from access. Problem is...is if you have the computer you can reset it by changing the BIOS jumper on the board. Typically a jumper will be found across pins #1 and #2 as the default position, and by shutting the computer down, unplugging the power cord and then moving the jumper so that it is across pins #2 and #3 will clear the Bios/CMOS settings.

A665D Toshiba Satellite BIOS Password lockout, do not know what it was set to. Can it be changed by challenge or key by Toshiba (methods for earlier Satellite models do NOT work), and if so how to go...

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your Toshiba laptop the easiest method would be using Kill CMOS software from Hiren's Boot CD.

Bio password lockout. i do not want to remove the bio battery for the simple fact it's soldered in. is there any other way. l505-s5966

The password is there to protect you, if a thief has possession of your computer, and tries to use it.

FInd your original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the owner, and contact Toshiba's technical support, for assistance.

sounds like bios is locked and you cannot log in. theirs a battery called bios battery that you can pop out and it will allow you access but that's completely up to you. gte the product manual form their web poage and go to support then enter model info and download a manual. then lookl for the bios battery. that will remove the lockout code.

Factory reseting

Are you referring to a lockout issue with W2K, or are you locked out of the laptop via a Bios Password? If it's an OS problem, worst case scenario, you can re-install the OS. If it's Bios Password issue, try logging in with the Factory Password 'ix250'. Good Luck!

Cmos password lockout

Hi,
if this is a bios password lockout, you can try removing the CMOS Battery, for a couple of minutes to reset to factory default.
or using a password finding utility.
I have a CD that can do this, providing your DVD Drive will boot first.
