Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
Hi there, I have a Whirlpool dishwasher ADP 951 and it'stopped working. The only indication that anything is wrong is that the "start" button flashes off and on. There was/is no other sounds, signs that there is anything wrong with the machine nor anything at the time it stopped working. I just went to use it one day and it won't start. If anyone can give me any advice re; getting it going again, it would be very much appreciated. I have tried turning the machine off at the powerpoint, but it hasn't changed anything. The machine has worked well prior to this and has been well looked after.
Start light on and no other action could mean that the door catch has gone faulty, test accordingly and replace if needed, no wash cycle will work if this item is faulty, the waste outlet pump may be the only part that will work on some models, this is a safety feature hope i have helped if so please rate me, work safe unplug when testing

I Just held in the start button in for a while. There was water in the overflow underneath the filter and sliver safety tray. After I held in the start button and opened the door again and cheeked the overflow, that water drained out. Then I just closed the door and started it again on rinse. Don't be worried if only the wash selection lights are working. The start button should light up when you press start on the rinse wash. Imagine if the Whirlpool dishwasher ADP 951 was one of the fancy new ones, there would be a lot more steps. Hope I helped :) Ryleigh Pearson

No it wasn't the door catch. The machine had leaked water into the overflow at the bottom and just needed to be dried out. Thats it! No parts or anything. Guy said maybe I had put in too much pwder and it bubbled up.
