Projector Image Problem

When trying to watch a DVD through my projector from the DVD player, the image projected on the wall is small and narrow. It is wider than the normal TV image but much narrower. I get the full image when I watch it through a laptop but not the T.V or D.V.D

Hi There

Your Projector switches to a 16:9 ratio when hooked up to a Video signal and to a 4:3 Ration when hooked up to a PC signal.

You can manually change this in the Menu functions if this bothers you.

Simply go to Aspect Ratio in your Menu's subfolders and press left or right once you scrolled down to it.

Hi i have just connected up panasonic home cinema system via my projector and the titles etc are back to front any ideas ?? Regards

Trying to understand your problem. Sounds like an orientation problem with your projector. Check your manual to get image orientation setup correctly for your projector. Look for projecting image onto the front of screen instead of projecting image thru the back of screen. Some times the application calls for projecting from behind screen just like a projection TV.

Infocus lp425z projector pushes latop display to left quarter of output image

Usually this is a hardware acceleration setting problem on the 'advanced' properties setting in your 'screen resolution' properties on your computer. Re-set the hardware acceleration to the 2nd setting and this should fix your issue. We have this regularly when we project on a double projector system and the one projector keeps shifting everything left until we adjust the hardware acceleration settings on the computer. No more issue.

Image being projected is VERY large unless you have the lcd 1-2 feet in front of screen.

That's the design of the projector -- some are designed to be "narrow", such as the projector in the back of a movie theatre, and some are designed to be "wide", like a teacher standing at the front of a small classroom, placing the projector a few feet away from the projection-screen.

Buy a different projector that suits the dimensions of your room.

How to write on wall with some image or photo?

If I understand correctly you want to project an image on the wall.

If this is correct, then open following links to Texas Art Supply:
http://www.texasart.com/tools/light-boxes-and-projectors/projectors/artograph-tracer-projector.html
http://www.texasart.com/tools/light-boxes-and-projectors/projectors/artograph-prism-image-projectors.html
http://www.texasart.com/search/index.cfm?searchstring=projector&store=ALL&x=22&y=13

How it works.
Place image on table.
Put projector over top of image.
Turn on projector, and image is projected to wall or piece of paper hanging on wall.
Trace image or paint directly on the surface.

I am using a Sharp LCD projector XG-E1000UB. I do not have a manual...how do i project a smaller image..the image from the DVD player is huge..i want to project it on a screen in my backyard...

Although you can change the image size +- 10% from the projector ring, if you need to reduce the size significantly you will need to the reduce the throw of the image by moving he projector closer to the sreen.

Won't project DVD playing in a PC laptop

My first thought, based on what you said, is for you to check the resolution being sent to the projector...if it's too high,(above the projector's ability to display it) you'll get a distorted or even a blacked-out display. Also, check the settings for the program which is running the DVD. There could easily be an option set incorrectly.

Multi-media projection without image

A great deal of the time DVD players are very restrictive on outputting to multiple sources due to copyright protection. In my experience, if you use your laptops function keys to toggle output (For example, on my laptop, I hit FUNCTION + F4 to cycle between LCD,LCD+VGA,VGA), you should be able to disable the laptop's LCD display, only outputting via the VGA cable. It's worked for me with my HP VP6111 and Windows XP in the past. Hope this helps!
