Installation bar frozen on screen

There is a bar thats frozen in the center of the screen that says 'ACER preparing installation please wait. the only time i don't see it is when i watch a movie. it covers up my broser screen and is even there when i dont have the internet up.

Go to start and put in run msconfig
go to the place with all the boxes with checks. take all the checks out and restart.
if its gone, do it again and put the checks back one by one until you see it again, you will at that point know what it was that was causing it. remove that if you can. if not leave the check out of that one and put the others back.
if it never goes away, put all the checks back as this is not your problem. what this does is it shows you a list of everything that starts when windows comes on, by removing the checks you are not removing the program, merely keeping it from running when the computer starts...

· Disconnect AC adapter,
· Remove Battery
· Press and hold power button for 30 seconds.
· Reconnect adapter and battery
· Start your pc and go to safe mode and check power settings.
· Depending on your OS check event log /windows error log to find out what is causing the problem. And disable the service or reinstall driver needed.

dear uninstall your printer driver .......
shut down your system and disconnect printer .....
open system and install driver ......
after installation connect printer

and enjoy it ..................

MY Acre Aspire 3680 is Frozen! Need some Heat- appreciated :)


Dear pdtuladhar,
Just put your Installer CD on your optic drive (Windows XP?) and restart it. The CD should takes over the priority list of boot>>>
after you succeed, press esc and log in, save your file from C: drive and run the installation once again..

Are you able to go windows safe mode if yes ... Start > Run > Msconfig > Ok

in the general tab you have option to seleect Normal Start up > Click on apply and ok and restart yiur computer that should work

i presume you still have the manual for that computer.... i believe the newer computers allow you to shut off the touch pad... look for the key combination for that

Acer aspire 5520 start up screen


can you go to bios? load default setings in bios, or optimized settings, then try... when something like that happens i usully pull out batery on mother board, than wait about few seconds and pul it back in... bu that is to much work. try above,, and let me know
