Question about Televison & Video
HI. most disk error message are given if the player lens is unable to read the actual media that is inserted due to major surface scratches.
If the media at hand is completely free of any surface scratches and, the discs you are using are compatible with your player, this could be a more serious issue concerning the lens assembly. You can confirm this by unplugging this unit form the wall socket or surge protector for 5 minutes. After the unit has been unplugged for five minutes, simply plug it back into the power source and power up. if you get the same error after this hard reset, it will confirm a major lens assembly malfunction. the lens may have failed and cannot read or scan anymore due to this failure or, it can be that the entire assembly and control board has failed as well.
In most cases, its the lens assembly that will be the issue here and not the main mother circuit board. if you have anymore question, feel free to ask. i will be standing by..
