Question about Dell 962 Photo All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have a Dell Photo All-in-One printer 926 that uses Series 9 ink cartridges that recently went offline with a 1203 error message after I tried to print 20 color pages on matte finish photo paper. My printer stopped after giving me an unfinished 14th copy. I followed my printer manual instructions to disconnect and reconnect my printer power cable, reinstalled the same ink cartridges, and I still had the error 1203 after several attempts. My color ink cartridge appeared to be leaking somewhat, as well. What can I do to get back online?

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

It keeps printing alignment over and over


Sounds like a bad sensor in the Dell Series 9 ink cartridge.

You are using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges, correct?

Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has.

Power on the printer. Open the printer and take out the Dell Series 9 Black cartridge. make sure all the tape is off the cartridge and put the cartridge back in. Now do the same for the Dell Series 9 color cartridge.

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.

Black cartridge = black side(left side) Color cartridge = color side(right side)

Photo cartridge = black side(left side) Color cartridge = color side(right side)

It is possible to get a Dell Series 9 cartridge with a bad sensor. Contact the place of purchase for a replacement.

I have the Dell AIO 926 and i have an Error Message. Error 1203 Consult User's Guide I cannot print, what do i do?


error 1203's error name is print head short which indicates a short circuit in the print head has occurred. solution to this problem is to disconnect and then reconnect the printer power cable. Reinstall the ink cartridges.For more information, see Replacing Ink Cartridges.
Replacing Ink Cartridges
  • Turn on your printer.

  • Lift the printer unit, and then position the scanner support between the tabs to hold it open.

  • The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.
  • Press down on the ink cartridge lever to raise each ink cartridge lid.

    Remove the old ink cartridges.

  • Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them properly.

  • If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.
    NOTE: The following illustration shows a black cartridge and a color cartridge (used for normal printing). For photo printing, use a photo cartridge and a color cartridge.

    Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure in the right ink cartridge carrier.

    Snap each lid closed.

    Hold the printer unit up, push the scanner support back to unlock it, and then lower the printer unit until it is completely closed.

    The printer read Cartridte error 1203 I am reading the manuel but I do not understand how to fix it to print. I do not have it connected to the computer I just want to make copies.

    Error 1203 is a very interesting error code. Here is what I found out about error 1203



    Error 1203 is a very interesting cartridge error. It means your cartridges overflow even from brand new cartridges after a several prints or right after you refilled the cat ridges. Check to see if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel with the cartridge


    Solution:
    I use the lint free cloth(coffee filter work great) with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off those contact on the holder and my printer work again.
    Then before you print anything, you should run aligned the cartridges a couple times then run clean cartridges a couple times.
    Print the test page to see how it's look and way you go.
    Be sure not to leave any debris of lint free cloth(coffee filter work great on those holder contact panel.

    Cartridge alignment problem - it says to remove tape from cartridge or troubleshooting. There is no tape on the cartidges.... HELP!

    Installed Office Depot Dell all in one MK990 Dell series 9 all in one 926,v305,v305x,v305w and Im getting a 1203 error message. I put the old original dell cartridges back in and still get 1203 error...


    I use the klennex with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off those contact on the holder and my printer work again. Before you print anything, you should run aligned the catridges a couple times then run clean catridges a couple times.
    Print the test page to see how it's look and way you go.
    Be sure not to leave any debris of klennex on those holder contact panel.

    Too bad that I also cound not find out how to reset the ink indicator. It's annoying to hit the OK button every time you want to print.

    Prenter 926 shows error 1203


    A 1203 error usually involves some type of cartridge problem.

    Did you recently change a cartridge out? If so, did you use a factory new ink cartridge by Dell?

    If you did not, then that could be your problem.
