Turning on...and does not turn on...unplugged for over 1 minute...didnt help...eventually all lights turn on, all three

Sounds like mine. It makes the same sound as it did before when you turn it on and it sounds like it wants to turn on, but nothing and eventually the lights blink. Before this happened though, there was like a popping sound and the tv turned off.

Sounds like what I have. it makes all the sounds that it usually makes when I push the on button, but nothing. Before this happened, there was a popping sound and the tv turned off.

My Samsung DLP HLP4663w have the same problem, 3 LED blinking.

I replaced DLP lamp, no help
I took my new DLP lamp and ballet and tested it on other Samsung DLP tv, both work fines.

I removed DLP lamp, and back cover, and forced enable Back cover switch, I used a flash light to see thru DLP lamp hole, I can see that Color wheel spin nicely.

Is it the only problem DMD board? Too expensive to replace whole light enginee. HOw can I test DMD board? It is possible to fix it at component level?

Different model, but this is from samsung service manual:
1. If the 3 LED indicators flicker from the time the set is
turned on, it means:
1) The CN106 connector on the DMD board is not inserted
properly.
2) The MDR cable that connects the DIGITAL board to the
DMD board is not connected properly.
3) If the lamp does not turn on even after turning it on three
times, by powering off/on 15 second intervals:
! The B+ 380V power is not supplied to the ballast
(The cable is not connected properly between the power
and the ballast.)
@ The cable connected to the CN110 terminal on the
DMD board and the CN2 terminal on the ballast is shortcircuited
or not connected.
# The lamp does not turn on because 5V has not been
supplied to blue pin #1 on the CN2 terminal of the
ballast.
$ 5V is supplied to the CN2 terminal on the ballast but the
lamp does not turn on because the ballast has a failure.
(If the lamp is replaced and 5V is supplied normally to
the CN2 terminal, suspect a ballast failure if the lamp still
does not turn on.)
% The ballast is normal but the lamp doest not turn on.
(When 5V is supplied to CN2 and 385V to CN1, but the
lamp does not turn on, try replacing the lamp. If it turns
on, that means it was a lamp failure.)
4) The color wheel engaged to the engine does not operate,
or the connector which indicates the operation of the
color wheel is not connected properly, and therefore
does not allow the lamp to turn on. The cause can be
determined when the set still does not turn on after
attempting to turn it on three times.
5) Another digital board or the DMD board has a failure.
Conclusively, if the three LED indicators flicker, first
check the above five items, then check the various
connector connections, and then suspect a failure of the
lamp or the ballast.

First thing to check is the bulb. On the back of the set is a hatch with four black screws. There is a TT symbol on that hatch, open it and you'll see the black lamp housing over the ballast circuit board. Remove the silver screw on the left of the housing and pull the aparatus straight out. It may stick a little, don't be afraid to give it a tug or two. Check the bulb, the part of the filament that burns is inside the glass tube that is near the base of the bulb bowl. If it looks broken or burned. Replace the bulb. Ebay sells them for about $100 or less. I've never had a problem with OSRAM vs Phillps, so whichever. Phillips is better but OSRAM does work too.
Sometimes you buy the bulb with the housing sometimes not. Its pretty easy to replace the bulb. You-tube it. Reverse the dismantle and see if it comes on. If not, we move onto the color wheel and ballast. Email me if this doesn't fix your problem and I'll help you move onto the next step. [email protected]
Good luck.

The on and off problem is the DMD board. This is a factory defect whether samsung will admit it or not. The DMD board is on the light engine and replacing the entire engine as a whole is typically the only way to get a hold of a new DMD board. Consider $300-$400 (ebay) for a new engine a decent price. Samsung will also sell you the engine directly. Which means it comes with a warranty. Email me if I can be of further help.

My at&t Motorola 3360 has every light blinking but is still working. The Power and DSL are continuously blinking red and the ethernet, internet and activity are all blinking green.

Hi,

Here's the thing...if the modem is unplugged, and you press the "Reset" button, or any button, nothing will happen because the modem is UNPLUGGED.

When you plug it in again, there is usually a few minutes or so during which time the lights will blink. Eventually, when the DSL connection is established, the blinking should decrease. But, there will always be some blinking going on to indicate that data is being transmitted.

If the "Ethernet" light is blinking, then a computer that is plugged into the router is transmitting/receiving data. If the "Wireless" light is blinking, then a computer that using a wireless connection to the router is transmitting/receiving data.

If a red light blinks, then that usually means the DSL connection has been broken. When that happens, for whatever reason, the modem will automatically begin its initialization routine and will continue to do so until connection has been established. During that time, LEAVE IT ALONE.

If you uplug the device, or if you press ANY button while the device is attempting to correct itself, you can cause permanent damage.

So, you are correct. It's not a problem. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "If it's not broken, then don't fix it." There's a lot of truth to that.

I hope this helps.

Samsung HLN507W turns on for about one minute then shuts off, three blinking lights stay on in front. It is not the lamp, nor the blue lamp cover switch for sure. I unplug it and immediately turn it on. It always does the same thing: comes on for 1 minute, then powers down - there is no wait time in between unplugging and powering on. All fans seem to work and I cleaned the dust out of it. Help.

Camera does not respond when turned on or when plugged in to recharge.

I followed the advice of my Fixya adviser--remove the battery for 3 minutes then plug the USB cable into a different port on my computer and plus in the camera. I did that and turned the camera on as advised but the green light still did not blink. The adviser did not respond when I asked what to do next so I disconnected the camera from the computer and plugged it into the charger. This time the first blue light started blinking (nothing happened when I tried it before following the Fixya advice). I left the camera to charge all night and eventually, after about 12 hours, it did.
Seems O.K. now.

SONY WEGA KV27FS120 WON'T TURN ON, LED BLINKS A FEW TIMES

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I sure hope it will. I had a similar problem with TWO of the three Sony 24" TVs I had bought together. TV#1 konked out a month ago; TV#2 messed up last week. So I called the Sony Service Center, and this very nice guy told me that a lot of times this problem occurs because the TV isn't plugged directly into the wall (most people plug theirs into a power strip/surge protector). When it happened to TV1, we hadn't been using TV2 so we just traded their locations and the "bad" one sat there waiting to be thrown out...and sat and sat and sat. Well, I was pretty hot when it happened again a month later to TV2. The service center guy told me to unplug TV2 and replug it in the wall after about 1 minute and turn it on. Nothing happened. Then he told me to plug in TV1 and turn it on. I did, reluctantly. And it actually worked!! I don't know if anyone having this problem has a week to be without their TV, but the guy said sometimes it takes up to a week of sitting to get it to work right again. So I'm waiting a few more days before I try to plug in TV2 to see if it works again, but for now, at least I've got one TV back. Here's hoping you all have the same experience. And then I guess we'll have to decide whether to plug back into a power strip (mine was actually plugged into my cable TV's DVR machine) or into the wall.

Power light flashing/ no picture

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
