Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
Would like to be able to turn this function on and off as I travel alot internationally and get charged for every e-mail that comes in.
Gets kind of expensive. Is this possible?
Once you have an email account set up for the device it will continually deliver messages to the device. I looked over the user manual for your phone and it don't mention a automatic email checking setting that you could change, ofcourse I would recommend you go over all the email settings and see if you can find it from somewhere.
if you can't find such a setting there then turn off data services for the device: Options > Mobile Network > Data Services = OFF or NO. This will stop the delivery of the messages until you turn it back on, at which point all messages that were supposed to be delivered will come to the device at once.
let me know if you need further assistance.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
