We kept getting no channels as well. We had our cable box hooked to the TV with the cable that screws in to the antenna port.
Since we thought that the problem was with the "channel auto search" function, we switched to using the cable with red/yellow/white connectors to connect the TV and cable box. Now we have cable!
We only use the TV for cable, so we don't know whether we could get local channels through an antenna.

I have the same problem... IT WAS WORKING FINE WITH BASIC CABLE PLUGGED RIGHT INTO IT, POWER WENT OUT AND NOW I GET "NO CHANNELS IN LIST" AND NO WAY TO ADD CHANNELS!

I am very techy person, and have tried EVERYTHING you can possibly do... believe me. A simple scan results in "signal not detected" error. NOTHING was moved, only the power went out?! WTF!

We've got this at work (BLACK Olevia 36 Inch I believe).

Please email us @ [email protected] THANKS!

Your televisions do not have a tuner, you need to use a VCR as a tuner.

Be sure that you are on the "Tuner" input, and that if you are using a converter box, that you have the set tuned to the single channel that the box puts out. (In the US, that's either 3 or 4.)...accordianman

you will need the remote to do a channel search or manually reprogram the tuner to tune in ch3
A good place to fine cheep factory remotes is on e bay. enter your model and make, only buy factory remotes not universal .
Factory remotes can do things a universal one cannot.

MY LG 20LS7D TV WILL NOT TURN ON, SCREEN IS SHOWING MESSAGE: TV SOFTWARE UPGRADE UART DOWNLOAD 1. CONNECT CABLE 2. START '1K XMODEM' IN HYPERTERMINAL

You have lost your original remote and got into this by pressing info select and the option 7 UART Download. Happened to my 95 year old aunt in assisted living. You will need the original remote and simply hit (EXIT) or another LG branded remote that has the (ROUND RETURN BUTTON) on the left. Once you accidently get in to this, I have not found a universal Zenith remote that can get you out even though Channel up/down and basic funtions work.Bud retired Bud's TV Service.

Lost the controller for Pioneer rear projection TV

Try pressing the "Input" button the front of the set. That should allow you to change between the different inputs. The return button usually returns you to the previous channel you were watching - don't think it works for the input though. Also, depending on the model of the set you have, try downloading the PDF user or owners manual - it will tell you how to use the remote.

37" Polaroid LCD TV No signal appears when select channel

I was having same problem, and think I got lucky and found fix.

Try unplugging the TV and waiting 30 seconds, then plug back in.

You will likely get blue screen with "No Signal".

Go to Menu, then scroll down to "Setup". Select "Factory Reset" then hit "Yes."

This did it for me. Wish you all luck.
