Sorry I was not clear, Excel was recently added to my machine every file new or old has this problem. Nobody else in the office is having this problem and I can find any information under help. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem, it happened after I opened up an old MS excel workspace file. Now it happens on all files, even new ones. This has to be a setting somewhere.

Have you tried hitting enter instead of tab. If that doesn't work, let me know and i will play with it, I have not had that problem. You may have a formula set to go to column M, that takes some work to find it, you have to go cell by cell.
You can copy the spreadsheet without formulas and redo the wholething. That takes time, but sometimes is the least stressful solution.

The only way I can create the same problem is to set a page break. If this is happening with a new copy of Excel, the blank must have a page break pre-set.

If your computer is the only has the new copy, backup your files and try uninstalling Excel and reinstall.

If everyone has the new copy, try emailing the files to someone else in the office and see if they have the same problem.

If they do, check for a page break, if not, IT will have to be called.

Your problem may be that column A is merged with columns b-n. The easiest way to check is change your allignment in column A to right allignment; if the text moves to column N; the change it back to left allignment, right click on that cell, choose alignment and cancel the merge, that should fix the problem.

Remove page breaks in excel

We would appreciate if you share with us your Excel version as well so that we can give you a more specific solution to your issue. In the meanwhile, you can refer to the following steps to delete a manually-inserted page break in Excel 2007, Excel 2010, or Excel 2013:

(Important: You cannot delete page breaks that Excel has added automatically. Adding manual page breaks, changing the page orientation, or adjusting column widths and row heights may affect automatically-inserted page breaks.)

1. Select the worksheet that you want to modify.
2. Go to "View" tab, then go to "Workbook Views" section, and click "Page Break Preview".
(Note: You can also click "Page Break Preview " on the status bar)
(Important: If you get the "Welcome to Page Break Preview" dialog box, click "OK". To avoid seeing this dialog box every time you go to "Page Break Preview" view, select "Do not show this dialog again" check box and click "OK".)
3. Now do one of the following:
a) To delete a vertical page break, select the column to the right of the page break that you want to delete.
b) To delete a horizontal page break, select the row below the page break that you want to delete.
(Note: You cannot remove automatic page breaks)
4. Go to "Page Layout", then go to "Page Setup" section, and click "Breaks"
5. Click "Remove Page Breaks"
(Important: You can also remove a page break by dragging it outside of the page break preview area {to the left or right for vertical page breaks, or up or down for horizontal page breaks}. If you cannot drag page breaks, make sure that the drag-and-drop feature is enabled. To check the status of your drag-and-drop feature, click office button , click "Excel Options" tab, click "Advanced", go to "Editing Options" and make sure you have checked the "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop" option.)

To refer to a pictorial explanation of the above steps, you can refer to "Delete a manually inserted page-break" section on the following Microsoft Support Page:

My excel is starting right to left in window 7

The default worksheet direction in Excel 2007 or 2010 is Left-to-Right. To change a worksheet direction to Right-to-Left, follow these steps:
  1. In Excel Ribbon click on the Page Layout tab.
  2. In the Sheet Options group click Sheet Right-to-Left. The sheet direction will be changed. Column A will now be to the far right. Columns B, C, D.. etc. will follow to the left.

You've probably "frozen" your pane. "Freeze Panes" is a feature which allows you to keep one or more left-hand columns or top rows visible while you scroll through your worksheet.

When you ac

You didn't say which version of Excel your're using, but in Excel 2007, you can either freeze the Row 1, Column A, or any number of rows and columns based on which cell is selected (i.e., where your cursor is) when you click on "Freeze Panes."

In Excel 2007*, the way to fix this would be to click on the "View" tab, then the "Freeze Panes" icon, which will give you several choices. Click on "Unfreeze Panes." There you go.

* The steps are similar in other versions.

Presario arrow key and return key problem

examine the keyboard for dirt caught under the keys, this maybe diffucult to spot. this is not going to be easy at first, as the problem may lie further and at a more difficult angle, check also for damage to the keyboard and try to find a mechanical solution before suspecting the drivers here, as this looks like it may just be something caught under the keys, or the keys being dragged down together rather than a major electronic foulup.if you find nothing, then suspect drivers. after that, try checking for programming errors.

CSV file to Import correctly into Excel 2003

Rudils,

The key is to import the data and not open the file directly.

1. Open a Blank Workbook in Excel.
2. Data, Get External Data, Import Data. (Excel 2007 is Data, Get External Data, Data from Text)
3. Browse to your .csv file and Select "Import".
4. Import Wizard should appear.
5. Page 1 Select "Delimited"
6. Select the row which you want to start the import.
7. click "Next"
8. In the Delimiters, select "semicolon" and/or other delimiters you are using.
Note: The bottom half of the window will preview the way the data is to be imported.
9. click "Next"
10. highlight each column of your data in the window below. For each column you can specify "General", "Text", "Data", or "do not import column" using the radio buttons in the top left of the Wizard box. This is an optional step.
11. Click Finish.

I hope that helps. Please add a comment if it not clear.
